The negative display for the date looks really cool and blends in with the clock face, if it was a positive display it wouldn't look as cool, this watch is primarily about design
No concern with negative displays. More concerned about the stiffness of the strap. I have a fairly flat wrist, and stiff straps tend to make the watch wobble to one side of the other. Had a lot more luck with GBA 800 or GBX100.
I'm surprised I don't see more negative comments about the translucent color, especially in the band. Just weird that my wrist hue sort of changes the color of the watch. A solid black with these red accents would be epic in my view.
I'll stick with my GA-B2100 in yellow - it has the most readable dial of the five colours. I still prefer function over form to some degree in my Casios! This one is cool, I'm sure, but too thick for my liking and negative display and no solar not good.............
Casio’s Pro-Trek line always impresses me with their negative displays, too. They seem to do it well every time. If sticking to G-Shock, the Mudmaster, Gulfmaster, and Gravitymaster line always seem to do a nice negative display. I cannot recall the model numbers, but some of their G-Shock Move line of watches have had some nice negative displays too. I have to agree with your preference though. I’d prefer a nice positive display variant over a negative display 99% of the time.
All the G-Shocks with MIP displays have excellent negative displays e.g. the GPR-B1000, GBD-200 and GBD-H1000. I really don't like the model you reviewed and will skip it. Thanks for the review.
I actually don't like how the bezel and straps are one piece, i would rather be able to change the wrist bands. Other than that it's a really cool watch.
I'm not into crazy color G-Shocks, but that teal one looks cool. The MIP display on my GBD-200 is a very legible display although I despise that the stopwatch doesn't have 100ths or even 10ths of seconds.
Or change the negative standard display for a better MIPS negative display? The standard ones' visibility on anything other than bright light, is garbage.
The blutooth makes the watches great travel watches and a great alternative to atomic radio functions. That being said if this was solar I'd be interested. I'm tired of chging batteries in my watches.
Do they not do this one with just a mat black strap? The translucent one here for me makes it look a little toy like. That's a shame as the mat black casing with the red accents looks classy
G Shock watches are like Invicta to me. I have a casio mrw-210h for work. I wear bifocals and it's easy to tell time. I work outdoors and around cars. My Casio has seen abuse. It's not G Shock, still keeps ticking. It's loses a second or two every two weeks, which I correct. No worries if it breaks or stolen. It's $23.00 new and $9.00 rubber strap replacement. The original strap broke in 2 years. I had a square digital G Shock back in the 80's and looked great back then.
Don’t ever compare that Invicta BS to God shock again … you must know zero about pieces . If you put an Invicta on your wrist you need to throw yourself out a window along with it .
I can totally understand why this is one of their cheapest models, it just looks like a toy, and some of its design aspects just look so bad, NO replacement strap options kill its potential right from the start and that absolutely miniscule digital display is about as useful as it is on the ga2100 (useless). This is a MAJOR NO, even for a BIG G Shock fan like me.
the g steel GST-B200 have fantastic negative displays

Wow, this terminator edition really strikes . Lovely. I have the all black version of this watch, and it kinda fits with everything.
Got a few negative-display G's, but the best is the GBD-100 because it uses the MIP LCD display 😁
Best negative display in a standard G-Shock is the GD-350, or one of the MIPs display bluetooth watches like the GBD100, GBX100 or DWH5600

Great review! So good to see you uploading more!
Your enthusiasm and friendliness come through in your voice and videos. Thank you for the reviews. 👍🏼
The King G-SHOCK GX-56B has a pretty decent negative display.
Great negative display with MIP (Memory in Pixel) technology would be the GPRB1000-1JF and the GBDH1000-4CR.
My Ga110-ts suffers from the same problem. Awesome watch but the display is almost unreadable at an angle.
This is a Unicorn Gundam!

...the irony when you're a fan of the Terminator series and just bought a G-Shock and while a few days later, you watch this video.
I likethat the lcd is so low key, just barely visible and only when you need to check it, like max 3 times a day

Looks same as my GA-B2100 (yellow), just thicker and clad in more resin. Another has commented the same too
Thanks for the vid!

I can't decide between this color or the blue
Which one did you get?
Yeah, which one? Im torn between this and turquoise
Select the red one 😊
나 역시 고민중이다. 초록색을 좋아하지만 터미네이터 컨셉에는 이 모델이 맞다
Nice video Mav hey I have a question could you make a review on the GSHOCK GW5000U ? Thank you nice review by the way.
Here as trying to understand difference between 1AJF and 2AJF, also is there a code for UK/Europe model?
I love negative displays 😁
Does anyone know if there are plans to release a Tough Solar model?
If i buy this watch. Do i automatically buy the right to tell people that its time to *"GET TO DA CHOPPA"* when they stop and ask me the time?
With this badass watch, do whatever you wish!! 😁👍🏼
Sad. I only want one g shock hence i have a grey casio oak.
How big of a wrist does the band accommodate?
Is it come with pre-set timer? Like 5m 10m 15m etc
Yes
How's the light on this watch at night?
Nevermind just saw it lol. Great review 👏

Alredy buye this watch and I liked it

What is up my boss from the south Korea and wow

Damn what kind do you have that you have to them more than every few years?
solar is overrated
@@uuuultra yep
Don't need Bluetooth. Solar would have been nice though
Negative displays would be fine only on models with auto led
I have received a complete dead watch Frim amazon
Return it and buy from another site
How to connect to bluetooth ?
Through the Bluetooth function
👍
The red dots is like a trypophobia 😱

this isn't your blog

@@fngod2459 Easy there sport. Gshock is just a watch. An overly big and rather unsightly one at that.
in japan buy mi g shock perfect
