    I would just like to say that I have had my DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM 3300 for 8 years and it just started to leak. Bought an o-ring kit replaced a few o-rings around the boiler, and problem solved. I could not be more pleased with its reliability and it makes a decent cup. I will note that I only use distilled water in it. I think that helps (especially by preventing lime scale buildup in boiler).

    As a happy ESAM 3300 owner for the past few years, I feel like I have to give my input on how to get good foam with the panarello (sp?) attachment:
    (1) Wrap the top of the panarello with electrical tape, making sure to fully block the air hole.
    (2) Make sure your frothing pitcher is properly chilled.
    (3) Surf the tip of the panarello just barely under the surface of the milk, making foam until the bottom of the pitcher is just about body temperature.
    (4) Bury the panarello beneath the foam and try to get a vortex going, until your preferred temperature is reached.
    (5) Knock the pitcher on your counter to release any remaining large bubbles.
    (6) After pulling shots, swish the milk gently to break up that 'iceberg' on top, until consistency is even.
    This has worked out for me just fine, even good enough for latte art. How did anyone else do with this machine?

    I just inherited this machine. I've got a couple of questions. (1) if the pods are damp, what am I doing wrong (2) how to make really creamy espresso - what adjustments with beans grinder do I need (3) where should the knobs on the. front be for good coffee ----- thank you so much. I know this is an older machine, but with all the comments I know it will have many more years to come for me because I'll take good care of it. Thank you, Christy in Texas

    Had this model for seven years so far, still running perfectly and used daily. Please note that your video has some glaring misinformation. (1) the infuser is NOT dishwasher safe (Quote from page 14 of the manual: "The infuser, grounds container, water tank and drip tray must NEVER be washed in the dishwasher"). (2) While it says to clean the infuser "regularly" in the manual, that does not mean "after each use" or "once a day" as you say. I typically clean the infuser about once per month and that's perfectly sufficient.

    Similar to others I have had this machine for approaching 7 years and use this machine eveyday as work from home. Fantastic value for the money at £300 GBP. Looking now for an upgrade, keen on a duel boiler maybe the rocket. Any recommendations welcome...

    Found this machine brand new for 50$ at a flea market !!! Only complaint is you have no idea of the actual volume and amount of coffee when adjusting the two nobs so if you want precisely a 1oz shot you really don't know where to put the nob without practice. Also the amount of coffee used is quite high. With the coffee nob turned only 1/4th way up it uses roughly 15g of coffee.

    I have had my unit for about 9 years and now it will not pump coffee, have cleaned it out including infuser as if the water pump is weaker and it has become temperamental? Have called the Mfg and they had me test the infuser to see if I could still push all the way in with my finger. I could but no answers. Any thoughts?

    Great video, just got this machine. Do you know if it's possible to adjust the temperature of the water/espresso coming out? - thanks in advance

    Hey guys, I love your videos and watch a lot even about the ones I can never own ha! I recently decided to buy one of those 3300's second hand: having had a delonghi ec.320 for years and getting decent crema, I can only seem to get drip-like coffee with a thin straw coloured layer of foam out of this one, no matter what type of beans (avoiding oily of course) I use, no matter what settings combination, is this everything this machine can achieve? perhaps it's broken or needs an overhaul / tune-up? Best, V

    I've had this machine for about 3 months ... When I first started out, the milk would foam just like it does in your video, lately, it doesn't foam AT ALL - it just boils :(Everything is clean and holes are running free - any hints?I've tried from skim to full fat and no luck, chilled to fridge temp to room temp - I'm losing my mind!

    Hi Gale,
    I'm currently looking at getting a superauto machine and an stuck between the this delonghi esam 3300 and the saeco incanto deluxe which I can both get at the same price. Do you have any pros and cons of each (reliability, quality of espresso, ease of frothing etc...) or can straight up recommend which is better at the same price? Thanks!

      Hello Benedict Chong, We list the pros and cons, as well as the product description and a link to the product video on our website. Please check out the following product links for further details: www.seattlecoffeegear.com/delonghi-magnifica-esam3300-superautomatic-espresso-machine & www.seattlecoffeegear.com/saeco-incanto-deluxe-espresso-machine-certified-refurbished. Hello Gale, I have a question for you. I am still quite new to the super autos, I just got a ESAM3300. I have heard that you should never put oil beans in a superauto because they get very messy. But aren't espresso roasts always oily? Should I just use regular bean instead of espresso roast? I really want my espresso to be very creamy so that I can make latte art with them.

    • @SeattleCoffeeGear
      @SeattleCoffeeGear  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Max Wei, The very dark roasts that are popular in the Pacific Northwest (such as Starbucks & Peet's) can be harmful to super-autos, because of all the oil and residue the super dark (and super shiny) beans leave behind. Consistently using very dark roasts can eventually clog your super-auto. It is preferable to use medium to light roast beans in super-autos, as these types of roasts contain much less oil on the outside of the bean that can be left behind. It is also good to note that not all espresso blends are roasted super dark, so you should be able to find a delicious medium to light roasted espresso blend that suits your palate. :-) - Sarah

      Thanks a lot! Do you know any medium roast espresso blend? Can you give me any suggestions? which one do you guys use in your super autos?

    • @SeattleCoffeeGear
      @SeattleCoffeeGear  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Max Wei, Many at SCG tend to like Velton's Bonsai Blend: www.seattlecoffeegear.com/velton-s-coffee-bonsai-blend and Caffe Ladro's Espresso blend: www.seattlecoffeegear.com/caffe-ladro-espresso. Both of these are medium roasts and should work fine in a super-auto. - Sarah

    Hi, love all your vid's. I'm seriously considering purchasing this unit. Will it make a cafe crema? I plan on using it for shots but I also want something closer to a cup of coffee. Thanks in advance!

    • @SeattleCoffeeGear
      @SeattleCoffeeGear  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks guyplay! The only superautomatic that will brew something closer to a cup of coffee is going to be the Saeco Gran Baristo: www.seattlecoffeegear.com/saeco-gran-baristo-superautomatic-espresso-machine-w-removable-bean-container The Magnifica does dispense hot water so if you are interested in an Americano type drink, that is totally possible with this machine.

    What do you do to make the infuser drop down in the ready position? It is stuck up high in the machine and you can notgrab both orange clips. Therefore, the machine does not come on or the lights do not come on as well. It does not make any noise whatsoever. I need top know how to get the machine working.

      Vicki, did you ever find out what the issue was with the infuser stuck in the up position?

    • @rxjimsd
      @rxjimsd 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you turn the machine off and unplug it, the infuser should drop down.

      The unit has to be turned off. Then it should come right out when you pinch the side tabs in.
