Brooo i saved a bike like a week ago. It was left by a previous tenant that lived in the apartment and he said he didn't care about it no more. So that bike was my first entry stuff to the bike world and it felt amazing changing the sprocket and the brakes with the chan and doing other bits and bobs to make it my own. Rides like new now. Good luck on the content bro.!!
Wish I was good as a mechanic like you, I welded my steel bike with an adapter to have a disc brake and I was too late to appreciate the v-brakes. Nice Job
I have a 6700 from 1999 upgraded to XT 780 30 speeds and a 6500 from 2006 upgraded to XT 780 30 speeds , bulletproof frames and made in USA. Both great bikes
Great video! Thanks for going to the trouble to capture the whole rebuild! 👍👍👍👍👍

Woww, beautiful bike, serious components. And the legendary Dia-Compe brand, it's been a long time since I've seen one.

Hey there
I have one like that and am buying a new fork for it, is that a one inch threadless stem?
It’s a 1-1/8” fork and stem
looking good, I have the SLR model I think
I think those USA built bikes are a lot better than the later Asian built bikes.
me too!
