What tubing did you use for the rear brake? Having a nightmare with an old GT Talera. I used some brake cable housing but it offsets the cable too much and I end up with a real loose setup. Any info greatly appreciated

nice, good choice for the tyres the cable ‘things’ are a bit too high, the cable should align with the line on the round part to give you more braking power, but then you need to mess with the brake pads which can drive you mad 😅 basically the closer the cantilever brake ‘thing’ is to the tyre the better in terms of power as the cosinus of a smaller angle is closer to 1 if the angle is bigger the value is lower and the force is less
