The best way to use shoulder dolly in stairs is to squad down as much as you can and tighten down as much as you can before you go up the stairs. Both persons need to have arms extended specially the guy going at the bottom but all 3 steps need to be done before you start going up or down stairs!

Have you ever tried finding a way to use this to help move something solo, like a really heavy box? Wondering if you could wrap the long strap along the box a few times and then loop it back through the metal bracket or something.

I have not tried that... I'm not sure how it would work. as designed it takes a lot of the weight off your back, I'm afraid solo it main be rough on the back, but not sure.

How did you have to adjust the strap on the stairs? Long for the person up top? Short for the person on bottom?

I believe that is correct. Definitely easier on flat ground than stairs but it does the trick.

The instruction video gives clear directions for stairs. You both start off as low as practical… that way your feet don’t get caught up… SEEK INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.

Have you tried the Forearm Forklift, and if so, which do you prefer?

Have not tried it but I see a number of them bought as alternatives to this via my Amazon reports and there appear to be a higher ratio of returns. But honestly I have no other basis of comparison.

@@hardybrothersproductreviews Welp, just bought the Shoulder Dollies because they're much more adjustable.

@@hardybrothersproductreviews I have a skinny washroom and getting the old dryer out and the new one in entailed squeezing past the washer. I was worried that a single strap would make a precarious move but it was easily-peasily done. Going up and down the stairs was not that big of a challenge either.

Has anyone tried this with something really heavy? Like something possibly closer to 800 pounds?

We moved a gun safe with the Pro version in this video. I would not have done it on stairs and this safe is approximately 600 - 700 lbs. REVIEW: Shoulder Dolly Pro Lift - Moving a 375 LB Gun Safe with the

You went up the stairs wrong. You are supposed to just have your arms out straight the whole time. The washer would actually go up at an incline if done right.

Hmm, clearly we had some issues getting it adjusted... so in order to do what you are saying, we would have needed it to be further away from both of us, so a longer strap underneath? We've definitely had an easier time carrying on flat surfaces with a few steps vs steeper steps like this... For me to have my arms fully extended I don't see that I would be giving any help other than pushing the washer weight down on my brother below who would be taking on the full weight... we will need to practice more I suppose but still better than carrying normally. Thanks for the input!
