Honestly skyward sword is an extremely underrated game that was unfortunate to cone out at the wrong time Preordered the HD version thats coming and couldn’t be more excited
The game was amazing but was unfortunately plagued with horrendous control issues, but they've since released it on switch and fixed the above mentioned issues in the process.

I had a really similar experience growing up, though I was 6, so old enough to play on my own (for the most part), though I started Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, and Ocarina of Time (And Guitar Hero 3, but I need to stay on track here) with my older sister when I was 2 (my brother wouldn't help😔).. I remember the pure joy of finishing OoT for the first time by myself when I was 7 cause at that point I had memorized all the turns and how to play through everything, and I ran into my sister's room to tell her and I started crying cause she seemed so proud of me😭 And then in like 2017 (I think) I beat TP for the first time, I still haven't beaten WW because I hate the boat mechanic so much and it still confuses me after 14 years lol.. and then I also beat SS in 2018... I recently replayed OoT on our old N64 and I still remember all the turns for the Lost Forest even though I hadn't replayed in at least 5 years Omg wait I just realized I was rambling lol, sorry, I just got excited cause when I mention I started playing video games from such a young age people tend to not believe me, so I thought I was completely alone with starting really young (even if you were 2 years older.. but still)
@Pinktiger_123 well being the youngest and only girl in the family (besides my mom) my brothers were pretty open to helping me especially since the Zelda series was already the big thing for them. But since my parents were born in the mid seventies they experienced the first five Zelda games and then when my brother was born in the very late nineties he experienced oot, ww, mc, and tp. Since my second and third oldest brothers were born during that era in what i can assume to be one if the greatest Nintendo eras. 3 years after my third oldest brother was born, I was born. I have experienced so many Zelda games with so many wonderful memories ( ok this is the part where i get chocked up so work with me) and with news if Botw 2 and SShd I will finally have my era of games.

Though, I can at least share that if you progress far enough to unlock warping, unless you're Triforce hunting/need to go specifically in the bottom right corner, you can set the wind to North West and be able to sail to pretty much anywhere you need to on the map without touching the wind again.
