Hits skating is next level. How he can dance and change direction on the blue line is truly amazing.

  • @darksaga80

You talk to anybody in hockey about skating and using your edges and the first person they talk about is Sydney Crosby. I now put Makar in that Elite level skating tier. There are very few people who skate as smoothly as Makar does. Makar is one of those five tool players that is dangerous anywhere on the ice. He does things I haven't seen any defensemen do ever. You see how he shakes guys at the blue line, goes to a bird step and changes the angle of his shot to make sure it gets on net. He's a master of time and space to boot.
As a guy who played defense my entire hockey career, when I saw him in college, I started fashioning my game after his. You have no idea the level of detail in his game once you start trying to emulate it. He's just on a completely different level.

He is the reason I bought a season ticket, despite not being able to afford it and living five hours from Denver. Mackinnon, Landeskog, Rantanen, Kadri and Nichushkin are just icing (pun intended) on the cake. You only see talent like this once in a lifetime. I don't want to miss a single point, let alone his minutes as stellar defensemen. He is the Michael Jordan of the NHL. He does things you just can't do, UNLESS you are Cale. All Hail Cale!

This guy literally is like a crosby all arround player with freaking elite mcdavid speed for a d-man, watching this guy gives me goosebumps, he does everything, he's good defensively and throws the body, posseses mackinnon/mcdavid speed both stickhandling and skating, and a freaking crazy elite skating, with insane both slap and snap/wrist shot. There is nothing this guy can't freaking do, holy moly

AV’s are going to have the scariest offensive defense possibly the NHL has ever seen once you have Makar, Byram, Timmons, Girard and Graves all together which should be next season. Whether they take the cup this year or not, they have a legit shot at winning multiple cups over the next 5-10 years. Sakic done gone out and built himself a monster! Crazy that the AV’s are only a few years removed from a 48 point stinker of a season but that did net them Makar so it was well worth the pain of watching games that year.

As a wings fan, I'm glad Sakic did you guys good. So far were catching up with Stevie Y in front office. Avs deserve a cup, they are one of my fav teams to watch. I don't feel as much hate towards them because the Rivalry doesn't seem as strong as it used to be.
