Great work young Pommy Buddy, you and your mates have the makings of great collectors. Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year. Best wishes from Overly Sunny, Queensland, Australia!!
Amazing collection, you have made incredible progress this year. There is a lot of great stuff I forgot you had and I love how you arrange it all. Its good to see the changes in those designs over the years. Again though my favourite coin is your 1662 Crown, that coin is just awe inspiring. Thinking of doing a similar thing with my British date runs. Except mine are in albums with plastic holders and pages. I see similarities with mine too - like 1860s dated florins (I have none between 1858 and 1870) and the sixpences (Just very few before about 1873). Your Threepences are streets ahead of mine, hard to get readable dates here before around 1885.
That Crown tray is very satisfying to look at. As for my British coins, for this Christmas I got myself a Godless florin (worn but cheap), a 1877 Gothic (EF) a 1910 Half-crown and a Cartwheel 2p. (Looking to get an Edwardian Crown this year, or at least a Wreath Crown...)
You have a remarkable collection, especially as you have been collecting for such a short time-- it took me far, far longer to get all the copper and bronze pennies (and for most of that time i wasn't looking for any other denomination). You've got space to add the 1970 proofs for farthing, half penny and penny if you have loose ones of those as well.
I have no one else to share this with, so here goes! I just went to my local coin shop here in Oregon. I went through the tray of foreign coins at 10c each. Amongst the 36 coins of interest I got, for 3 dollars was a fine grade 1888 Penny! It's better than the one in my collection that I paid good money for! Total cost for this 'Jack the Ripper' Penny? In UK currency, 3.6 pence! 😊
I am 54 and have collected since I was 7. You are starting to overtake me on some GB denominations. time to enter your 'up-grade period' buddy. My recommendation is to attack any denomination, any date and start getting VF+ coins, as the opportunity arises. They will never be cheaper than they are now, unless Western Civilisation collapses (which may actually happen!!!). Cheers from Oz!!
That's a very impressive collection. The florins and crowns are my favorite. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks for watching!

Would love to see a your hammered collection so far
Definitely a good video idea
Nice video 👍
Thanks 👍
@BitsAndBobsCoins your welcome
Always liked the brass three pences, didn't realize the silver one over lapped.
Both very nice coins

I will look out for the other 70 proofs
Have you thought about collecting the Trade dollars that match the standing Brittania design of the florins
I know of them but I prefer coins

What a deal
It's always worth looking through the cheap tubs of assorted coins 😁
Very impressive. Do you have a link for the coin trays that you use?
No link but they are just from eBay
Yay finally!
Glad you enjoyed
We are likely to hit 39 degrees C next week!! I wish it would snow!!
Exiting
Are you going to try to obtain the Scottish shillings as well.
Yes I have most of them both silver and not but will need another tray
No Double Florins?
I have one but didn't include it
Are you doing the H and KN mint marks in your date run for pennies.
I have most of them but they are not in the date run
In my opinion pre-1950 Brit Commonwealth coins are even more interesting!!
They are nice 👍
Do you collect all the mintmarks too? Or just each year?
I have a few mintmarks
But mainly collect dates
It seems silly to me to do a date run when discontinued coins are so rare, and you are very unlikely to complete the date run.
I will keep going for now
Perhaps I will need a few space fillers at one point
@BitsAndBobsCoins Don't get fake fillers.

Definitely will look for upgrades
Why start with 1730 with the farthings I know there were farthings in the 1600 's.
I have decided to start with George II and expand backwards later
@BitsAndBobsCoins Thanks for all your replies
