Is Melbourne Florida Safe At Night?

- We go for a walk to explore this Florida coty and see if it feels safe or unsafe. Overall its not a bad place when it comes to safety downtown. Of course you could find trouble but trouble doesn’t seam to find you. Relatively safe.

When you got to the train tracks it suddenly hit me that you were only a block north of El Ambia Cubano, the best little Cuban restaurant in Melbourne.
It don't stay open that late, and the surroundings are a bit sketchy after dark, but the food will make you come back. I was in town and found myself eating there 3 nights in a row. Yeah,... that good.
It was okay. In south Florida thats about average. I live in SWFL so.. we might have 10 cuban places better than that one. But the setting was nice. I walked around day and night no issues there are definitely worst areas to be at night
SWFL is Wack. SEFL Miami has way better Cuban restaurants. @@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS
Meg O Malleys.. downtown Melbourne! It’s neat to watch a review of your home town. There are some homeless/ beggars but they are mostly over off of US1 where the Daily Bread is

Thank's Jose! I appreciate the walking tour! Been comparing Sarasota (the ranch) area & Melbourne now! Hard to figure out which is better for a quiet lifestyle. Cant stand the big city! Have to add, Been to Charleston SC & it seemed better than this city in many ways! Just saying! 😇

On one of my roaming motorcycle trips from AZ, I ended up in Key West. On the way home, I stopped in a real old dive bar in Melbourne. After a few, I realized that I'm staying in town for the night. I inquired about motels; the bartender says " we're a motel, too". I registered while sitting at the bar, he came back with a wash cloth, bath and hand towel - all see through.
It was not a boarding house and if sober, I would have just left without even asking for a refund...

Looks like the average Florida downtown, nice and sketchy at the same time. Travel to Daytona or Orlando for real night life.

Where you touring downtown on a Sunday night? Damn. Go on a Friday or Saturday night and experience real Downtown Melbourne.

Back in 2004-2013 and the area was amazing! Things have changed a bit sense then. But the vibe is still good.
As far as being safe, it’s more or less like any downtown. From my experience, downtown Melbourne is a safe place to enjoy yourself.
Not sure why it’s only “relatively safe.”
