CRV is definitely a fine family SUV. I got 2 young kids..Putting stuff into the boot, 1 adult scooters/ 2 smalll scooters /luggages at one go. No problem.. just put and go… no need to go thru the hassle of organising the boot. As for interior quality, is made for rough use, and kids are rough, not suitable to fit into those luxury interior yet haha. As for power , adequate enough.. I don’t need a turbo, is a family SUV after all, why speed… you have many lives in your hand.
@@yuwaraaj1564 bro, we are talking aspects of the car, not the cost of insurance all that, aspects of the car like nvh levels, driving position, interior build quality, chasis tuning, suspension pliancy, gearbox and design. These are the aspects im talking about that are objectively better on the cx5
I'm impressed by CRV spaciousness, but power is an addiction which once tasted you will never be able to get enough of. Both are good in their own way, hard to decide which one is the winner.
Great video! Just a suggestion: since these are SUVs that a lot of people will buy for their families, I think spending a bit of time comparing their safety features will interesting and helpful for the viewers. For instance the 360 degree camera and BLIS in the CX-5 are miles better IMHO than Honda’s LaneWatch which only works on one side
Very depends on your BINI character. Most ppl who space oriented may choose CRV but for me will go CX-5 because my BINI always talk bout the drive and power. If power is enough she will prefer manual. So it is depends
CRV is using full digital gauge cluster. CX5 still uses analogue gauges for the most part. Some may prefer the traditional analogue gauges over digital...
At 28, no kids, got a CX-5. Now 35, married, with two kids, just got a CRV. Both have their reasons... but I have to say I like the CVT transmission, but it was just the SPACE inside that sold me.
adrian please compare 2.2d (updated ver) 188hp vs crv vs cx5 2.5T. curious where does cx5 diesel stands and how it fares between 2.5T. some says the power nearly the same with 2.5T with less fuel consumption
Tested both, upgrading from nissan almera. Last time bought the almera because of the spacious second row and large boot. But everyday feel little bit regret when driving to work, no fun. So for my second car, will not repeat the same mistake, i pick cx-5. No regret although need to carry 2 different size of diapers now 🤣. But if u need to carry 3 different size of diapers, cr-v is the best. Unless u go for cx-8/9 🥲
I've driven and like both but probably going with the CX-5. Drove a 2020 top of the line turbo today and it is very close to luxury status imo. Everything about it feels premium. Also very concerned about the oil dilution problem on the CRV which seems to have no real solution.
Thank you, for this great video comparing these two vehicles. I'm a big fan of Honda. I am looking at trading in my Honda Fit for a bigger car. I am 6'3" and am fed up with the cramped legroom. It really makes driving the FIT a drag. (However I have this complaint with many vehicles. Except my Toyota Highlander) Please comment in future videos on how a tall person may feel in the drivers seat.
I have 2021 CR-V 1.5L TC-P 2wd, there's a rattling noise everywhere, much like the old Proton. Cheap plastic is everywhere. Really fooling people. Others problems are brake disc sounds, steering, battery and many others. This price to buy just only the engine and space, is expensive, not worth it. Less than a year later, the chair was making an abnormal noise, like the sizzling sound of a cheap sofa at home. In terms of sound insulation, it is very unsuitable for a car of this price.
Can you make parts LFL replacement / maintenance cost comparison for the first 100K KM , ie rotor disc, struts , brake pads , alternator; water pump ;timing belt ; hoses to cooling system. Thks
You do know that second hand price dictates by the sales of the new cars, from what i see now, there are more cx5s here in my area and in most second had car websites both cx5 and crv are equal for second hand prices already
i buy one mazda cx5 2.0...the japan technology with continental touch.i love it..mazda cx5 more beautiful compare to honda crv.honda crv to ugly..the advantage honda is spacious and praticallity...
The absurdly simple to steal CR-V makes that one a non-starter. Seriously, it's bad. They make a keyfob from your VIN. People fall in love with a car and want to make it work in their head, drumming all the excuses they can think of like "oh, but I'll use the club, odb port lock, tape on the VIN number...". Does, not, work, at, all. The CR-V is *SO* simple to steal that Honda should get a class action lawsuit. Even if you put in an immobilizer, the thief will still damage the car to get in. Check out the reddit conversations about all this. The CR-V is NOT acceptable and is a NON starter. Do not fall in love with this car people! You have been warned!

I prefer the Honda crv... Its suitable for family
Athough i think the Cx5 is better objectively in almost all aspects, but crv is indeed a good family car due to it's space

Gunners
for me, i rather choose cx5.. love the drivetrain..
Cx5 for sure for power & handling
CX5 without a doubt.
I'm impressed by CRV spaciousness, but power is an addiction which once tasted you will never be able to get enough of. Both are good in their own way, hard to decide which one is the winner.
Hands down to CX-5
You're basically paying half of the price for a more premium car inside out
premium but with an outdated design

The Mazda looks much better, handles better, and accelerates better. The CX-5 turbo is my choice by a wide margin.
As a family SUV, the CRV wins. And think about the long term maintenance and roadtax cost. CRV is a more sensible proposition.
Very depends on your BINI character. Most ppl who space oriented may choose CRV but for me will go CX-5 because my BINI always talk bout the drive and power. If power is enough she will prefer manual. So it is depends

CRV only the middle has the digital gauge but the sides still use analogue gauges
Dear Adrian & Wapcar, do review the CX5 Diesel Variant in comparison, often left out by many reviewers.
agreed. please review the updated 2.2d 188hp and c where it stands compare with crv and 2.5turbo
At 28, no kids, got a CX-5. Now 35, married, with two kids, just got a CRV.
Both have their reasons... but I have to say I like the CVT transmission, but it was just the SPACE inside that sold me.
your comment gave me the choice😂 I am 28 single, thanks
28 yer not suppose to get suv lol
Yup, same here. I like cvt and I don't know why people don't like them. They are very smooth and easy to drive
Excellent presentation of both cars , thanks ! ❤
Adrian why did you leave autobuzz???
CRV What a old men car impression 🚗 side by side with CX5
1:57 I kinda think the crv looks better but that's just an opinion.
Most people who chose CRV have never driven CX5. It’s extremely good and underrated because of brand loyalty to the honda
Driven both and even Cx8. I agree on the NVH of the cx5 but still end of the day CRV it is.
As the owner of 2021 CR-V, I am intrigued by the torque of the Mazda CX-5. I crave the more instantanous acceleration that is lacking in the Honda.
Try to remap the ECU then you will appreciate the power
The car maker tuned down the power to meet the local regulation and for the safety of the inexperienced drivers
bro, you also you add the major issues with this 2 vehicles... which is also important.. other than telling what is good on a new product..
To make it easy just ask urself buying the car more for your family comfort or yourself to drive ..
Great CX-5/CRV comparison video--VERY helpful for my decision on vehicle purchase!!!
Bro u become more skinny, don stress . Take care and stay health . Also 👍👍👍 videos .
looking forward for a CX8 vs Tiguan All Space video !!
SAME!
if i 20 year younger.. yes i will pick CX-5
For practical, crv better. For handling and performance, take sedan car laa..
adrian please compare 2.2d (updated ver) 188hp vs crv vs cx5 2.5T. curious where does cx5 diesel stands and how it fares between 2.5T. some says the power nearly the same with 2.5T with less fuel consumption
This is a really excellent comparison and really helped me make my decision.
If you don't mind, what was your decision and how you feel about it?

Mazda cx5 all the way!!
i choose mazda !
Great review!!
I prefer cx5 turbo, I love torque
I still don’t quite understand the new intro

the moment he uses tennis ball, auto subs
I ❤ C-RV and I've just booked the Black Edition. Too bad it takes eternity to get one.
how long does it takes? three months?
@@weijackho3858 Probably more than three months. My friend booked Toyota Harrier and somehow it took half a year to get it. 😔
That’s pretty sad to hear, global supply chain issue and chip shortages I guess
The crv all the way
I am waiting for a used CX5 Turbo up for sale!!
Nice video review Honda vs madza
Good wapcar 👍👍👍👏😍

Ask CX5 owners, also have issues.
Suspension especially
I prefer the CRV...tq
Most reliable vehicle would be the Mazda.
good comparison
Road tax and fuel in the cx5 turbo😱
CRV
CX-5
Cx5 of course can easily outspeed German brand
Can you make parts LFL replacement / maintenance cost comparison for the first 100K KM , ie rotor disc, struts , brake pads , alternator; water pump ;timing belt ; hoses to cooling system. Thks
Adrian, almost 20k difference between the two. Which is the one to go for? if budget permits, then Cx5 👍
You don’t have to sweep your leg like that, just kick la, haiya..
Style ma.😄
th-cam.com/video/BVRDamZWNlQ/w-d-xo.html
what if CRV1.5T vs CX5 2.0 N.A
I also waiting for this comparison.
The CRV armrest box sounds so plasticky.
I was thinking cx5 but heard there are few known problems with the suv..
Mazda steering is sharp , you prefer numb steering.
Wasted CX5 DRCC not with low speed follow 😅
I prefer cx5 2.5T
CX-5 wins hands down. If you really want the space, skip the CRV, just get the Starex.
CRV have cheaper roadtax
Mercedes eqc amd crv actually almost look the same
If u buy new - just buy CR-V (even used price still expensive)
If u buy used - grab cx-5 (Price depression so terrible, so untong maa)
You do know that second hand price dictates by the sales of the new cars, from what i see now, there are more cx5s here in my area and in most second had car websites both cx5 and crv are equal for second hand prices already
Ho lorrr, equal prize in used market, but cx5 still more expensive than crv when new right... hmmm hmmmmm
CRV ...
i buy one mazda cx5 2.0...the japan technology with continental touch.i love it..mazda cx5 more beautiful compare to honda crv.honda crv to ugly..the advantage honda is spacious and praticallity...
Had to get the wife the CX-5, because it is far and away the best driving vehicle of the class, and it caused her lady bits to become engorged.
not in the state to carry diaper bags🤣
Want the space? upgrade to cx8 😂

The CR-V is NOT acceptable and is a NON starter. Do not fall in love with this car people! You have been warned!
In comparison, hands down without a doubt would be the crv. Far far better designed car than cx5.
Cx5 looks very bland and boring.
boring
CRV
