Hi, i am looking at c segment suv for my small family and considering either this cx5 or the crv. Can you do a comparison of both cars? Or even better comparison of the segment..?

2.5 turbo is very thirsty engine. Just go with 2.5 NA to enjoy the drive.

The Initial D reference was brilliant! 😂

But real concern was based on Mazda engine, no matter whether is 2.0, 2.5 or 2.2. There are many disappointed mazda owners complaining about mazda engine to cause more troubles and replacement engine for mazda cost around RM30k…quite shocked

Dated...i own a mazda before and sold it. The nvh is teribble and couple with the underpower 2.0 NA engine you will scream for more power..

Pls try driving - 150kph on the highway- (if conducive) & then apply the brakes- to hear the humming noise - I think it’s coming from the turbo system. Otherwise the car is a good buy.

I think I am unhappy with the fact that we waited for the facelift long enough for them to still give the older head unit instead of the newer 10.25 inches that are already available in the pre-facelift in some other markets.
Also maybe bigger diameter tailpipes for the diesel and the turbo like the ones CX-8 is getting?

For me i personally would prefer this over the crv cuz this 2.5 version drives way better than the crv and has better quality

But with engine issues for Mazda no matter whether 2.0, 2.5, 2.2D, think twice before buying, cause can see many disappointed mazda CX5 owners scared about Mazda engine to cause more troubles and replacement cost around RM30k

Roadtax too expensive than other competitors while CX5 facelift looks outdated but giving smaller screen for this

I did a test drive and found 2.5 turbo has too much power for my needs. The 2.5 na with sports mode switched on has more than enough juice for me to overtake other cars on the highway.

Have a 2016 black cx5 and it’s waaay nicer than the new models. The front of the new one is nice but from behind is so bland
