The Industrial Revolution changed the face of Literature because of two main points, the change in scenery for many of its writers along with the accessibility of the stories. First the settings, when the industrial revolution happened, many left their countryside settings and headed into the city for work in factories. This lead many to see new sights and smells and could've inspired new types of settings within books, along with new lines of work and the challenges that came with them. For accessibility, with the advancements in machinery, it became way easier to mass produce novels which boosted the amount of readers which inspired many to write about their own stories or just ideas they had and it caused a massive influx.

There are far too many times when I find myself making an argument, and the best counter-argument that people can make in return, is to present something completely and absolutely irrelevant to the topic, the argument, or to much of anything being discussed often including itself. I put this vid into one of my lists so that I may link to it later as a linked-response to put people in their place whenever they attempt such a counter-argument.
Ikr. I told my sister on a road trip that she was stupid for throwing a plastic bag out of the window and almost making a car swerve off the road. She replied with a rant about how ugly I am and how I have no social life for a good 5 minutes.
+arcict A sad side-effect is that this very same video can be used against any long-winded argument a given person fails to understand or refuses to acknowledge. It's a double-edged sword - it dismisses without addressing any point that could've been raised. On the other hand - it can be A LOT tougher to untangle illogical babble than it is to spout it... Overall - use with caution, and pray that nobody ends up unfairly using it against you.
+arcict Wait... You've met people on the Internet who would admit to have been mistaken after making the emotional investment of insulting you? That's actually an inspiring thing to hear. I'd much sooner trust such people than ones who are "always right"...
A limited space (like a forum) with the right rules and a dedicated few moderators can create any number of social atmospheres, including such a space where people, including myself, can admit that they are wrong, despite previous (or still current) emotional investment.
Considering I debate everybody, and was infamous in hs for denying the wage gap myth, I'd think not. Not to mwntion they dont teach that in philosophy, maybe sociology and gender studies, but not philosophy, english, and computer science. So yeah, maybe look up the hundreds of subject of study before assuming college teaches social ideas. Millennials are progressive, yes, but college is irrelevant to that, you can thank years of indoctrination of conservative education backfiring for that one.

Hi Mr. Rogers!
Billy Passed the Third Grade band scene was funnier.
One of the scenes in cinematic history.
I wouldn't even put it on my top 20 best scenes in the movie but that's just me

If I know a Adam Sandler movie
He swore a the game show host and that’s not “TH-cam friendly “
This is such an accurate description of answering essay questions in high school. Didn’t study, have no idea what the questions asking, but if I use a lot of words, random metaphors, and allegories maybe this teacher will see something in my writing that I don’t. LMAO. Genius.
the way the music was being played and the crowd legit being interested, i assumed he was right. haha
Just shows you that with enough paid actors and a good musical score you can deceive anyone
I rewatched this movie the other day. The score actually goes pretty hard. Its a well made movie and I still think its Sandler's best
That's exactly the way my junior English teacher would grade my essays.
My family quotes this all the time and it's great lol
You got an awesome family my friend.
What no one seems to understand, is that the puppy was a dog...I have used that for years w/my family. It makes everything ok for him. TY AS from Barkley
@@jacquiwesley455 But the industry... was a revolution.
roast of the century
technically last century, but eh.
1:08 the way the kindergarden teacher gives him a supportive nod cracks me up.
George Eliot's Mill On The Floss is good here.
I might have riffed on Tollers' Scouring of the Shire.
@@zimrielyeah I was gonna say, you need to cite specific examples
What you just said is one of the most insanely idiоtic things I've ever heard. At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to even anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.

That point where he said society
I felt that...
Where honor is a distant memory.
That speaker's line is the best thing to come out of this whole film
When Billy Madison says A simple wrong would have been just fine, i always half expect the guy to respond yeah well a simple I dont know would have done just fine too but you decided to deliver that ramble so I had to emphatically shut that down!

This may be one of the dumbest films I've ever seen....but watching the entire movie is worth it just for this one, flawless, perfect scene.
This movie is a comedy classic fuck you mean?
The Dumb and Dumber trilogy is also a few of those films.

You should know what you're getting into when you watch a comedy. It's not meant to be smart or deep. Just funny. Great scene I agree but chill out
@@jimenezisbetta Not really true at all. Comedy can have deep and important meanings. Satire is one of the strongest forms of criticism.

I love this movie, and can quote quite a bit of it, and my writing teacher was telling another student how insanely idiotic their response was, so I said “a simple ‘wrong’ woulda done just fine” and he started dying so I think I can die happy now 😊

Vestin I've met those kind before. They have learned to either admit their ignorance, or flee in screaming terror.
I love these categories he doesn’t read: “My Wife Is Sleeping Around”, “I Married Common Street Trash”
This looks like a college in California
Haha, as a college student in California... I have to say that what you just said was one of the most insanely idiotic...
Nemesisreaper
Did they teach you to be a man hater too?
Considering I debate everybody, and was infamous in hs for denying the wage gap myth, I'd think not. Not to mwntion they dont teach that in philosophy, maybe sociology and gender studies, but not philosophy, english, and computer science. So yeah, maybe look up the hundreds of subject of study before assuming college teaches social ideas. Millennials are progressive, yes, but college is irrelevant to that, you can thank years of indoctrination of conservative education backfiring for that one.
Oh, Christ. I can't believe I even recognized this username, but I just responded to a post of "FriendlyCrooc" (who is definitely not friendly) the other day. Trust me when I say his ("Friendly" Crooc's) drivel is not even worth responding to. He's either a troll or insanely misinformed and disgustingly irrational.
And in terms of the original person's comment, I guess it was just a joke, but considering I am proud of the great education that I got from the university I went to (in California), I'd say the original comment was stupid above all else. Good day.
+Nemeisreaper Watch out, he have a badass over here.
I love how this feels very personal. This would be my comment for every Adam Sandler movie.
