Fun thing about the 'Betrayed' trailer. Valkorian (old guy) took Valyn (the girl) to a planet called Nathema, where the Force is very weak, almost non-existent (there's a story behind why it is like that, but I won't go into that now). On Nathema, Valkorian has Valyn conditioned and "programmed" so that he can control her power. This, of course, involves a lot sketchy science, dark rituals, and a lot of pain on Valyn's part, driving Valyn insane. Senya (the mom) has a Force Vision about what is happening with Valyn and decides to rescue her and fails, as we see. The reason why the fight was so "grounded" and "real" is because Nathema has no Force. So Senya was fighting without the Force. But so were the 6 people she was fighting. Good thing Senya, as Valkorian's personal guard, had previously trained herself to fight without the Force. Unfortunately (for them) the other 6 people did not, hence the awkward, slow, and wild swings from them. They were fighting to control their lightsabers, while Senya pummeled them with her bare hands and only brief flashes of her saber.

Something I never noticed before about the "Betrayed" trailer, when the mother says "stay behind me", the fight sequence is first person perspective, as if the daughter was running right behind her mother. But when she turns around, the daughter is still standing in the original spot. Since the mother tried to hide the daughter's force abilities from the father/emperor, I'm assuming she chose to hide her own abilities from her daughter as part if that. When the mother used her abilities to break out her daughter, and the daughter stays... It feels like in that moment the daughter is the one who feels betrayed. Because the mother built up her anger and frustration from keeping her power suppressed, which led to her letting all that anger out at once, which led to her being tortured and turned into a tool...and it was only after all that that the mother tried to protect her, but in doing so revealed herself to be a liar and a hypocrite to her own daughter. Because at the end of the day, she was just a kid.
Interesting perspective. I dunno if you know the story or not, since you didn't use names, but the powers weren't a secret. How strong the girl(Vaylin) was with the Force was what Senya(mom) was trying from Valkorion(father/Emperor). The twins are her older brothers, Arcann and Thexan(dead one). Senya didn't want Valkorion to do to Vaylin what he did to them. Vaylin was so powerful in the Force that she could levitate furniture while she was still in the womb. She was trying to teach her to control her powers. When Valkorion learned and took her, he tortured and brain washed her, even planting mental commands to shut her down. When s Senya went for her, and she did several times, the twins were desperate for their father's attention and Vaylin had straight up been conditioned. So they kept refusing, and even mocking her, yet became angry when she left.
your theory makes sense but after they cut to the part after she killed the knights she was far away, so i think it was just a show of moment of a 1 take camera trick to show how good they are lol
This cinematic is a bit misleading. The makers of the cinematic tried to tell a short, compelling story so kind of ignored or glossed over the more detailed story in the game. Here the cinematic implies that the mom was trying to hide the girl's power from the old guy. The cinematic does this to make the story more compelling and intuitive as to what is going on without a lot of dialog. But the story behind this cinematic is different. Senya (the mom) is wife to the Emperor (old guy/dad). Up to the events of these cinematics, Senya fully supported her husband, and was in fact madly in love. The Emperor (Valkorian) knew about Valyn's (the girl) power. He ordered that her powers were to be supressed until she was old enough to train. Valyn is so naturally powerful that they (Valkorian and Senya) were afraid she would harm herself and others if her child's mind used her powers too much. When Valyn crushed those guards in the arena, Valkorian knew that they couldn't suppress her powers any longer, and so took her to a planet called Nathema, where the Force is very weak, almost non-existent (there's a story behind why it is like that, but I won't go into that now). On Nathema, Valkorian has Valyn conditioned and "programmed" so that he can control her power. They were fighting to control their lightsabers, while Senya pummeled them with her bare hands and only brief flashes of her saber. You are right that Valyn feels betrayed, though. Valyn blames Senya for her torture, for not fighting to prevent it. Also, at this point she is insane and (wrongly) blamed all her pain on her mother. This leads to the ambush in that battleground at the end when Valyn is a bit older. Anyway, this cinematic trailer doesn't contradict any of the above, but it does mislead a bit to make a more compelling 4 minute movie.
@@captainstinkyvonpoopberg4925 Valkorion didn't order that her powers be suppressed, nor was Senya trying to suppress them. It's impossible to explain everything that happens in these trailers and the full backstories of these characters, but I'll try: I'll only discuss the trailers featuring the twins and the girl, This is the Eternal Family. Let's start with Valkorion - the father (and a bit about the twins). He is the most powerful Sith who ever lived. Personally, when I played the game, he filled me with pure hatred and fear. Why? Well, there are many reasons, but the main one is that he could cheat death. The game literally starts with either you or his son Arcann (the one in white) killing him, and his spirit transfers into your body, accompanying you throughout the game. As you can hear from the trailer, he is calm, almost philosophical. He respects the opinions of others but values strength the most, as exemplified in the trailer: Arcann wants to kill him because he always felt ignored and unapproved of, that he was nothing to his father. Thexan tried to save their father - weakness. Arcann, in his rage, killed his brother - strength. Result: For the first time, Valkorion approached him and called him his son. That's what he wanted. Sith are supposed to confront their limitations and face death. Valkorion is different; his purpose in life is not power but life itself and absorbing everything that lives, then waiting for the cycle to start anew. Vaylin herself couldn't control her power. When Valkorion saw what his daughter did, her fate was sealed. He told Senya that he would help Vaylin control her power, because she might accidentally kill everyone. Well, he lied. He didn't want to help Vaylin; he wanted to control her, to train her mind like an animal. For example, Valkorion quote: "Kneel before the Dragon of Zakuul." Vaylin's mind would force her to kneel against her will. Vaylin was the only one who could potentially threaten him in the future; you could even consider her the chosen one with a different destiny. Vaylin was sent to Nathema, where she was literally tortured, and here's a quote: "Valkorion gave me a free reign over his child, death is the only exception that I was forbidden to cross." And tell me he's not a monster. Senya (the mother) tried to save Vaylin, but it was too late. Vaylin felt betrayed. All she wanted was love and acceptance, but her mother never accepted her for who she was because of her power, and now she felt utterly abandoned. The only family members who regularly visited her were her brothers, especially Thexan (the one in black). Ultimately, Valkorion decided to release Vaylin - she was 21 years old at the time (she was tortured for 8-9 years). The effects: Instability and problems with normal conversation and lack of trust in anyone, claustrophobia, panic attacks, a huge desire to murder her parents, especially her mother... And then Thexan dies, the person who showed her the most empathy. I will just say as a bonus that her greatest fear is definitely being alone. In short, the whole game is about kicking poor Vaylin in the face, and the player too. And just to be clear, Vaylin doesn't have clean hands; she became a murderer, as seen in the trailer. All those knights were killed by her and her maniacal desire for revenge. She became a product of Valkorion's torture.

@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS Honestly? That's good. I don't trust them, they would use the name Valkorion or Revan because they are popular characters but they would totally ruin them without respecting the original. Some examples: Valkorion is an incredibly complex and philosophical character. (He literally has three identities/bodies-Valkorion, Tenebrae, and Vitiate. He is three different people.) This alone presents a significant challenge for any director. Additionally, explaining Valkorion's motivations isn't simple. His main motivation is life. Everyone wants to live; that's normal. However, explaining in what sense he wants to live and why he seeks eternal life would be a challenge for many. And most Disney directors can be summed up with his beautiful quote: "I don’t know what I hate more, cowardice or incompetence." Vaylin is driven by pain and trauma. She wants to be loved, but even if she cares for her brother, she doesn’t understand what love realy is. She believes she was robbed of her life, and that's true. Disney would likely want to idealize female characters like Vaylin and either portray her as a victim or as a strong character who overcomes her difficulties. However, she is not just a victim-she became a sadist, even committing random killings. Vaylin is a villain, possibly even more dangerous than Valkorion due to her mood swings and instability. She loves violence because it's the only thing she understands. Idealizing or victimizing her character could strip away the raw realism that defines her. I won't even go into detail about Revan. All I'll say is that he is the most complex character, and if Disney's agenda were applied to him, it would ruin the entire era because Revan is the strongest foundation.
@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS And something very important that he forgot to specify is that Valkorion certainly has several identities and one of them is that of the Sith Emperor but his real goal that he sought to achieve was to become the Eternal Emperor, the Emperor of Zakuul, Valkorion. He is no longer a Sith at all, his sons are not Sith, his wife is not a Sith, his daughter is not a Sith and all of his people, his empire, his army are not Sith. , not Jedi either. Besides, they fought the Sith AND the Jedi and won, forcing Jedi and Sith, Republic and Empire to ally against him and his Empire in the game.
@@alphastriker5172 It's hard to tell about everything, but it's also true. Calling Valkorion a Sith is just easier considering how complex that character is.
The Old Republic is a whole story that you can play and read the books, I highly recommend Kotor 1 or 2, something like a prequel that happened before SWTOR, and I know it looks like Malgus was the leader of the Sith, but Malgus is not very high in the hierarchy, there is also the Dark Council and the Emperor, who you could recognize from the trailer with the brothers, trailers are only a small part of the story , not to mention that there is also a lot of wars and history before the Old Republic :D after all, the Sith and the Jedi came into being somehow, right? Star Wars is a big and beautiful universe, the more I hate Disney who constantly tries to destroy it. I'm sorry, I'm passionate about this topic XD
"Who is this guy, is he the antagonist?" That right there is one of the fathers of all time. Honestly might be the worst, but that's stiff competition in fiction. He certainly gives it his best shot though.

This game is the last true star wars we have left. Disney Star Wars is crap. We have to pray Disney doesn't ruin this.
Nope
this is set about 2000 years before Luke, so no clone troopers
It's actually more like 3600 Years before episode 1
LMAO at the "Is that Drake?"
Different time period this is the old republic. After revan. The true sith empire returned after a thousand years of preparing.
"Who is this guy, is he the antagonist?" That right there is one of the fathers of all time. Honestly might be the worst, but that's stiff competition in fiction. He certainly gives it his best shot though.
SWTOR its a best era of star wars
i have over a thousand hours in this game
The Jedi who looks Cody Rhodes is a Jedi master known as Ven Zallow. He been a Jedi master for a while at the moment
Way better than the Acolyte.
Non comparable
On the return & hope trailers the female jedi is a great great great granddaughter of Darth revan, the trailers take place aproxap 3700 years before a new hope, the voice that does the voice over in hope is Christopher judge,Kratos God of War .
Have not played SWtoR in a few years, but at least up too (and including) Eternal Empire (all chapters) where fantastic Star Wars. I mean, one of the best characters ever has been made ledgen. I am ofc talking about that man, the myth, the legd... ok I see what you did there: Darth Revan.
Poor Cody, never got to finish his story in this timeline 😂
love these swtor cinematic. 37 mins in and I was trippin cause the danm Spiderman blinking. I thought it was me.😂😂
p.s. I never watched the Acolyte but I heard it had to do with twins, both on diff sides. im assuming they looked at the sacrifice trailer and Kathline Kennedy said lets do this but put a chick in it and make it lame n gaay. (South Park)💀💀
Were about 2000 years before clone troopers here
The Jedi master in the 1st vid is a Zabrak
Lo que las secuelas, acolite o Ashoka querían ser y ni cerca estuvieron.
Why does everyone think he’s dathomirian just cuz he has spikes on his head. he’s a Zabrak different races can have spikes too. it’s like saying Ashoka is a twi’lek cuz they have the same head tails🙄
Mistakes happen. I did assume such based on the spikes. I remember seeing 1 of these guys in the Jedi Council. But didn't know the name of their species until it was mentioned in the comments.
@@RandomBlackGamer it’s all good I was just being sassy love your videos Brodie😂
They are republic troopers
Nice
i remember Antoine Bandeles Star Wars video's. if you liked him then you would like Evannova95.
Nice. I'll definitely look into them.
@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS
I can recommend his Jedi Grandmaster and Battlemaster ranking videos, as well as his Warb Null vs Corran Horn video
No is not 300hundred is more thousand years before star wars
I mean this video has been up for weeks. So I know by now...
Jolee Bindo for one.
Not Cody rhoades 😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's why greys are better. in between. Jedi morals, but screw rules. So neutral, stay out of it, if fight, will fight both. And powers of both.
Oh and Malgus sucks, at least 37th on list of sith.
Uhm both has faults. Jedi take, sith kill each other. win win. lol
would u be interested in checking out swallowed star? Its a Chinese Anime that is similar to Star Wars.
It sounds interesting. I'll consider checking it out.
@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS awesome, hope u give it a shot
For a Star Wars fan you don't know mutch.
Admittedly I don't know much. I never claimed to. I'm not a hyper or "true" fan. I'm just a fan who enjoys watching SW media. Nothing more, nothing less.
can weaint seenit reactions waching
boboiboy s1 part 1
No. I'm not doing anymore Malaysian shows.
after watching this i realize how disappointing the acolyte show is i don't hate it but i don't understand why they didn't just watch this and simply expand it into the series
Different era
