Look for other funding, not from China. Japan is very willing to help without strings attached and low-interest rates. Other European countries are also willing to help explore and not just be contented with China.

promising sana ang japanese mabilis gumawa.. kaso play safe din kasi ang Japan sa mga ODA nila.. need makapasa mga feasibility studies nila kung magiging profitable ba talaga in the long run.. kaya ayaw din nila kunin yun Bicol long haul e..

Hello! Thanks for sharing this video on the progress. I am not a Mindanaoan, but I am for the progress of the country. I believe, Mindanaoans deserve their very first railway...for the ease and comfort of travel of our beloved kababayans! Thankful that it is now gathering steam to proceed. It may take time, at least, for me, it has started...and of course, I think, South Korea and Japan offer great alternative in the financial aspect of this project.

When the Filipino let the American to station its military personel in and around the Phillippines and installed all kind of missiles defense pointing at China and they still have South China Sea disputes with China, It is kind of ODD for the Chinese to build any kind of infrastructures in the Phillippines soil. I DON'T THINK THE CHINESE WILL DO IT BECAUSE OF THE MAJOR INFRASSTRUCTURE COMPANIES ARE OWNED AND OPERATED BY THEIR GOVERNMENT. NO CHINA, THERE WILL BIG PROBLEM FOR THE PHILLIPPINES, WHO WANT TO LEND YOUR MONEY WHEN YOU STILL HAVE MANY DISPUTS WITH THE CHINESE WITH LITTLE INTEREST.....IN CASE OF THIS REPORTER DOESN'T KNOW OR THE FILIPINO GOVERNMENT DOESN'T KNOW, MAJORITY OF THE CHINESE BANKS ARE ALSO OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT.

China was slow even during the days of the Duterte administration when he was actually bending over backwards to be friendly with China. China FAILURE to respond actually happened before the current administration. China should think about IT'S OWN actions that led the Philippines to is current course.

@@mindanaorailway Palpak, nagpakatuta sa China. Of all the countries na pwedeng kaibiganin at pagkatiwaan China pa talaga lol. Imagine value ng lupa nila in the coming years kung wala ang drawing na to.

If only China just obey the laws, then Philippines wouldn't even need to have American military stationed there.
But then, China is a nation that is at conflict with nearly every neighbor.

i've been following this project since 2013 since pnoy admin contemplated on building this but with china backing out i don't think this can even start construction under BBM admin dahil back to square one ito same goes to the bicol long haul funded by china

It is not back to square one. The current effort to build the railway was restarted during the Ramos administration. Continued during the Erap and Arroyo administrations. Significant developments, however, didn't start till Duterte and actually continue to this day despite China's unreliability. Payments have been made and properties have already been zoned as public utilities. The first NEDA approved phase actually happened during Duterte's time and the DOTr is sticking to it till today

kung iba gagawa it will take years panibagong plano na naman yan
so dahil naiscrap yung mga china deals at bago ulit expect to start construction of this railways mga 2028 or beyond pa after BBM marami pang butas ng karayom susuutin nito

@@mindanaorailway Mindanao railway project up for NEDA review
The government is evaluating anew the Mindanao Railway project to update costs and potential ridership, with the possibility of shifting financing mode to include the private sector, instead of purely loans.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) said there is a need to review the detailed engineering design of the project and given the delay, it might have to go back to the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) for updating.
Bautista said the DOTr would immediately start updating the feasibility study and targets to finish it within the year.
“We are just awaiting the updated feasibility study of the project then we can discuss the best way to procure the project,” Recto added.
told you so, after a year pa bago matapos feasibility study so that's 2025 jan pa lang sila magsisimulang magplano kung paano iprocure
