She has one at the Asher house, there's lots of other dogs, but Rain gets special attention. She's pretty happy in the pack now though. You can see how she's doing whenever, the Asher house has a channel here on TH-cam 🎉
Lee and the Asher House are amazing! I have followed his journey when he only had his RV and started rescuing dogs. Now look how far he has come! His sanctuary is heaven on Earth! ❤

Same here, then he got his first place and totally outgrew it, now has hundreds of acres of land where his animals can roam free in protected fenced off fields, and Lee can continue adopted stray/dumped and abused dogs like beautiful Rain. How can anyone dump a dalmatian dog (or any) which would have cost them hundreds of pounds to buy. why not just hand them over to the shelter, instead of taking the cowardly way out and dump her causing her to chew on her paws so badly, she couldn't put weight on it. What a total arsehole!

@sharonmartin5051 I didn't realise there is a surrender fee. I live in the South of England and have never seen a dumped or stray dogs on our streets, however that is now changing as XL Bullies are now classed as dangerous dogs and are a banned breed. From 1st Feb you must of registered your dog £93, must be microchiped, neutered/spayed, insured and must wear muzzle and be on lead at all times in public. There are 30,000 dogs not registered and if caught dog can/will be removed and owners can go to prison for this offence.
@@ricasears5910 I'm in the US and we have surrender fees. I think the requirements the UK has are great .Some people will not be responsible on their own. I That's quite a burden for owners of bullies to have to comply with. But, some people are training them to be dangerous. It's sad.

I am a huge animal lover of all animals. In 1989 I was severely bitten by a dalmatian in the face. It took me years to even see a picture of a dalmatian. I got over the trauma. Thank you for helping this baby.

I adopted a dog that was found tied to a fence behind an elementary school and she looks very similar to River and she was scared of her own shadow too! But after a few months, she is no longer afraid and she is doing so good now. Her name is Aspen ❤. Too many people suck now days. LOVE her name, Rain.

The way Lee bonds with these dogs is just beautiful. I’ve seen dogs snapping at his face and he’s totally calm the whole time. Rain turned out to be a great pack member! The way he loves this dogs it’s just so pure and beautiful! We need a thousand Asher House Sanctuaries around the country! There will be no more euth lists!

He understands fear. The dogs feel his love and feel safe . You can see it in the body language.
I’ve had so many people do the “my dog is scared of tall men” and not had once yet where they wernt laying with me in a few hours.
Love always wins with animals. They don’t get enough credit for that.. they REALLY can tell who cares about them and who may be dangerous. It’s uncanny.

Reminds me of my last doggo Kena (well, technically my then gf’s hehe). She was terrified of men. One day at the local park Kena and I started playing, was funny when she realized she was having fun with a man. 😂 (I still have her collar after 21 years)
It always breaks my heart how humanity finds ways to hurt these wonderful creatures... All they want in life is to love someone to their fullest and for someone to love them just as much in return.

My dog was scared of men but my husband and I adopted her, and now she wiggles and crawls all over him when he gets home from work. Our cat loves all over him, too. ❤️ He's the sweetest man.

We adopted a westie/Maltese mix, and she WAS absolutely terrified of my Dad and me. We don't know much abt her past, but after a month she's on my bed every morning giving me kisses and wanting pets. She's amazing AND gorgeous - pure white lol....
my sisters first dog was left at a rest stop, tied to a picnic bench...he'd been shot with a BB gun...she had him for 14 yrs before he died. (cancer). He was so sweet with my sister. love, kindness and consistency does wonders with animals.

I've owned 4 dalmatians, they get so very attached to their family, and I don't ever hear of them doing well in shelters. She's a pretty girl glad she wasn't just left to sit in the shelter.

There is no such thing as a bad dog, just bad people.
I adopted a dog like that before, what got her to love me was Cheez-Its. I'd toss her one or two at a time over 30 minutes or so and she went from an aggressive dog to my best friend.
This just breaks my heart! Who does that to such precious creatures? Thank God for people like Lee. I'd love to have an animal rescue situation. So heartwarming to watch this beautiful girl lose all her fear and become a happy dog 🐕
I spent my entire childhood with a Dalmation. She was the runt of the litter. We did everything together. She used to come to the gate and smile every time I came home. When i turned 20, i left for basic training. I completed my training and came home. A week later, she passed away in the backyard. I believe she waited for me to say goodbye. I have never loved another dog as much as her. I have taken her ashes with me all over America. I hope that when it's finally my time to leave this place, I'll have her smile waiting for me.
