    Back in 81 I had a 69. Sold it in 83 for $1600, wish I didn't sell it.

Pure muscle, a 69 Chevelle has such a mean look.

Beautiful. Personally I think the 1968 version is better looking a little bit because of the smaller tail lights.

Nice to see a Muncie sitting inside. There are way too many automatics out there.

I am a Mustang/ Mopar kinda guy, but this and the 68s where such great bodies! 70+ was a step down visually for me, and mainly get's noticed because LS6 454 450HP.

No VIN, can't win, but (based on the HOC website), can be figured out, no doubt: 1 for Chevrolet, 36 for Malibu V8, 37 for two door sports coupe, 9 for 1969 model year, B (not 8) for Baltimore, MD assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Baltimore, MD plant operated from 1935 to 2005 and last assembled the Astro and Safari.
With the tag (from the HOC website), we can brag: ST69 for 1969 model year, 13637 for Chevrolet (1) Malibu (37) Sport Coupe (37), BAL for Baltimore, MD assembly, 755 for Black coated fabric bench seating, 63 for Champagne Gold exterior paint, B for Black vinyl top, among other codes. Missing the spare, tire tools and trunk mat, and the missing AC is a concern.
So, it's had some modifications to it over the years.

I like the 68s even better. Noticed the rubber bits under the the quarter pane; someone had fun. Waiting to see coverage of that Charger sitting in the bay behind it.

Fully restored top to bottom. 750 carb? Wiper fluid working. Everything works ? So, it should be very reliable and fast !

Nice car, not the correct steering wheel for a 69 Chevelle but it looks good

  • @davem6685

The Vega steering wheel cheapens this car. Swap that out! Everything else looks great.

Yeah my 72 camaro RS came with that steering wheel as well, chevy put those on alot of cars, but I agree a nicer steering wheel belongs on that chevelle

Is that a blank trans gear position indicator on the dash, right below the clock and just above the steering column?

I know that Steve has to make a living like everyone else but this is sad. He is a true car geek with a lot of knowledge and genuine passion. Upselling the ruination of another muscle car (if a real BB 4spd) has to take from his soul. I'm sure he has to swallow his own vomit when he pops the hood and is confronted with this abomination. I call it the East Coast Treatment. Chromed Chinese crap and bolt-on "speed" parts everywhere. Who would invest in a frame off only to devalue the car by powder coating the frame? Gray!! The same kind of guy that would ruin any muscle car with an ls swap. The kind of guy that would donk out a Ram Air GTO. The guy who would "restomod" a Shelby. Dumb boomers with lots of money but no taste or respect for automotive history. Think Jay Leno.

These cars need a voice and Steve tells the good and the bad on all of them. I don’t necessarily agree with some of the chrome and upgrades but there are a lot of people that really still like the old school vibe dig braided lines there’s a seat for everybody.
