I remember going to Kennywood and just when it was about to close, Me and my two cousins went on this. The operator decided to let us go on it like 4 times in a row because no one else was in line! I was so fun and I can't wait to go back to Kennywood this year!
I love the kid on the phantoms revenge who said "oh my god we're going down!" Like what the hell did you expect? It's a roller coaster. Had a good chuckle over that.

My friend and I got stuck on the thunderbolt one time and they said “we appear to be experiencing some technical difficulties we MIGHT send help soon. We were stuck on the ride for like an hour. They never ended up sending help….the ride just started working again after an hour lol.
U would have had to be on the first hill climb for that to be true. Not saying u weren't, just where it had to be cuz those old coasters would get all their energy off that first hill and then all the rest is just the stored energy playing out. Ur car stops in the middle...ur doin some walkin. I was there once when the phantom got stuck at the top of the climb hill. I wasn't on it,just watched the people have to walk down and the people in the front car had to take the risk on the ride cuz the car had already crested the hill and was stuck on the mechanism
My cousin lives around this area she comes here all the time, I've been here once and the only roller coaster I got to ride was the racer. I really wanted to ride the steel curtain and the phantoms revenge, looks like lots of fun, can't wait to come back soon.

Aww man to have been in ur shoes. The mystery, the girls and at least for us it was that one time a year that bedtime didn't matter. Unfortunately the park doesn't stay open as late as it used to and it seems like the danger kinda took away the parks innocence...but cherish this time kid. We get old way too fast and are left looking back and wishing we had known that those were the best time of our lives. All we wanna do when we are young is be older so we can be our own person. Sometimes it will make you forget how special being young is

Literally people do that all the time. If you can reach out to a friend or family member riding on the other coaster it's typically done. No its not safe but still done. Honestly I'm curious as to what DAY they did this because there are NO LINES AT ALL!!! 🤔 😂
Isn't that all it still has? Cuz it's always had the bar. U can even see it in the old 1920's clips on the "kennywood memories" programs on WQED. When I was a kid in the 80's I used to wedge my leg under it. But there was also a leather strap that was one length and wouldn't stop anyone if they were really going out
That’s not true..that’s my hometown park and I grew up in the 60’s and 70’s and there was always a bar and leather strap. That strap was useless actually. Every one of us would be dead if there hadn’t been a bar! We also never called it the “double down.”
The original phantom was SO much better. If I remember correctly there was 3 corkscrews and a loop or 3 loops and a corkscrew one right after the other. It's weird seeing such small lines. Might be worth a trip
Okay, I’ve had this confirmed so many times, but I need more conformation. I am trying to get myself on Phantom’s Revenge this year. I really, really want to ride it because it truly does look like a lot of fun, and it’s the only coaster I haven’t gotten on besides Steel Curtain. I’ve had people tell me that, drop feeling wise, you feel more on the double-down for Jack Rabbit than either drop on Phantom. Many people have told me it, but not enough to get it in my head. Feedback would be helpful if you have it. Thank you!

If you are looking credit for the Racer you have to ride both sides to do the entire track as it runs on a mobius loop.
How are you filming all these rides btw like a chest mount or something? Aren't the parks quite strict on cameras?
They sell a go pro chest/head mount set at Walmart for $20

Last I went to Kennywood I was 5, so i don’t really remember that much, other than riding Jack Rabbit and hating it. I’m 13 now, and about to go today
