The restlength went to 0 and so did the actual length of the constraint, but afterwards in the DOP it was still having a connection between those points with a line instead of a shrunken down primitive with a single point in the middle! I dont understand why that was? Can someone help me?

For some reason the red cube also falls and is affected by gravity for me. How come?
You have to transfer the "deforming" and "active" attributes otherwise the dop won't know which to sim and which to animate.
