What I do recommend doing if you still have your 360 use the same cord for the one as the 360 same one that plugs into the power brick and wall it it might work.

I don’t think it’s the power bank for me I think it’s the Xbox. Because I plugged in my Xbox and the power bank didn’t show anything. So I got a different power bank off of a newer Xbox and it done the same thing. Weird
I cleaned my bank out with an air compressor and it stopped having the issue. might be an idea to try this before buying a new one. alot of dust came out of mine which I think was the issue

The problem is that you may have multiple cords connected to you Xbox such as wired controllers or a Kinect.Those take power from the power box. If u take all the plugs out of your Xbox and wait a few minutes and plug it back in it will work. But the down side is that if you plug those things back in it won’t turn on so either buy a new power box or Xbox or stop using that certain device completely.
That means that there must have been a power surge which shortwired the capacitors in the power bank, the orange light only means that its off not that its dead

There are three 2600 capacitors in the brick, eventually they will go bad. Most likely that is your issue. It cost a couple bucks to replace them, however you will need an electronics repair kit/soldering iron. Edit: it might be four capacitors. Apologies
Heres the problem, inside the xbox one power brick theres 4 resistors, three connected to the same grid and 1 on an alternate grid. the 1 singular resistor blows due to overuse/heat ect and thats what causes this. you can either buy a new power brick, buy new resistors and open your current brick and replace them or just get a one x/s because the power supply on those are internal.

NOT to mention, carpet is bad for air flow.

SOLVED: EDIT: The original solution only worked for me a short while. I ended up opening up the power supply and found that the capacitors had bowed tops, they should be flat. I had to order and solder in new capacitors and that fixed my issue completely. The easier solution is to buy a new power brick like in this video Original post: I had the same exact symptom as yours after a power outage in the neighborhood. I followed the same process you did however make sure to unplug anything connected via USB from the console before plugging in the power to the console. My console powered on and booted, then I plugged back in my external HD via USB. Thanks for posting your video, it combined with others around the internet I was able to come up with this fix. Seems like there are a lot of variations of power-brick issues out there.

This video is literally 5 years old and this works, but the down part about this is that when you have to update your xbox and once your verification part is complete it will turn the xbox off and won't restart it sadly.
I have a possible solution, unplug the power source from the wall but keep it plugged in to the console then after ten seconds plug it back into the wall.
The power box aka the AC adapter that delivers the power to the xbox is the problem. It has to do with the receptors bring old. It's stupid and I just found out I need to buy a new power box after 7 years :/

Dude this saved me from buying a new Xbox and power supply. If you have had your Xbox unplugged for a while the power supply just needs a while to charge up to turn it on gave mine like 15 min and bam it turned on.
The power supply board is bad. Usually a capacitor blows or is faulty and causes this issue. I DO NOT recommend opening the power supply to perform a self repair. But a new or pre-owned one.
This happened to me and I literally air dusted out a bunch of dust that didn’t work.. but then I punched the top of the brick unit about four times as hard as I could and it turned on so maybe something gets loosened inside and that’s what keeps it in power save mode? so before you buy a new one try punching it a few times! 😂

I’ve notice that everyone’s power brick works differently, I saw yours and another guys having the same problem like me. The only difference is my bricks light doesn’t turn off right away and even if it’s plugged in the Xbox the light stays orange. I try turning it on and all I get is a sound, the other guys is his light turns off as soon as you unplug but once plugged in the light turns on still the same orange light.but when he turns on his xbox it’ll turn on for a sec but shut down and the light will turn whit for a sec and back to orange........point is we should all just go to ps4 and the new ps5. Nothing against Xbox player just tired of having to buy parts bc the manufacturers made there products break down over time purposely to take your money

Guess mine had a good run. Original power supply unit just went out. 6 or so years since it came out.
Inside the power brick there are capacitors, if one side is curved, they are useless, it's a easy fix, just replace the capacitor

I had my xbox one since 2015 no issues. But now I have the Series X also no problems with it.
