Dude ive been looking up videos everywhere. i unplugged everything from the xbox, unplugged power supply until the light went off, then replugged the power supply and kept spamming buttons until it turned on! Thank you it worked!!

This works amazingly well also with some tweaks. At first it didn't work but after a few more tries and some hope it worked.
P.S try unpluggging and plugging back in hdmi and any out sourced usb like a hard drive phone charger
Eventually the noise will get much much louder till eventually boom your xbox is on. Hope this helps some people.

Either try plugging out of the wall then while it's out plug a whole bunch of stuff in the USB and HDMI ports then plug it back in the wall like. Once back in the wall start plugging things out one by one to hear if it gets louder. If that does not work you need a new power brick

I only have my HDMI and power supply plugged in and it's still won't work. Like, my Xbox won't turn on, it won't make the slightest noise possible. The power supply just stays orange and doesn't turn white for a second. I gotten to play on my Xbox for like 8 weeks and it driving me mad. I would get a new power supply but my moms too stubborn to get me one off of Amazon so I have to find a way. So can you please help me with my problem. I am dying not being able to play fallout 4 and borderland 3.
Try to unplug everything then fill the slots by plugging in random things like powered USBs etc. Plug in the power supply last. Then start unhooking one by one even the HDMI and then try to turn it on. If this doesn't work you need a new power supply

The best way to "PREVENT" this from happening, is to use a surge protector as your native power strip. My power brick just recently fried after a power surge/blackout and I'm forced to buy a new one off Amazon, there's not much eles you can do. This can happen to the Xbox one s, xb1 x, and all Playstation units aswell.(with their internal power supplys) They need to have a surge protector included with all consoles, the life span of a power supply is actually quite long depending on how your setup is. I feel like alot of people are quite literally destroying their power supplys because of somthing that they didn't even know they had to worry about. Having a surge protector pretty much guarantees, that your console and power supply are safe. I just wish I knew this two weeks ago.

My Xbox one keeps turning on an off blew the power brick an console out waited awhile an still nothing unplugged everything an the powerbrick light is still on after that

what if when i turn on my xbox the light logo turns on and so does the chime but it immediately turns off after a second of turning it on. Also when it is on for a second the power brick turns green but back to red when it is off. I bought a power brick and when i hooked it up the power brick LED is red. Idk if it is the console or the power brick thats nots working. Can you help me?

Dude I just wanted to take my time and say this thank you so much, I ended up charging my phone and doing a few other stuff which ended up causing it to not turn on for some weird reason, I was so pissed because I was in the middle of a 5 Hour grind.. other than that thank you so much dude, thank you.

Whats happening here is that the power brick is old and worn. To keep an xbox on, it need 5 volts, but to start it up, it needs 12 volts. The power brick just cant reach those 12 volts anymore with everything connected, so by disconnecting everything, you let more energy go into the xbox itself instead of the attachments, letting it reach the 12 volts. It also explains how it can stay on normally once its turned on, since the required energy is much lower, letting you connect everything back. Eventually, the power brick will be so worn that it wont be able to reach the 12 volts even with everything disconnected, so you wont be able to rely on this method for long. If you want a permanent fix, you're gonna have to replace the power brick or open it up and replace its components. Luckily, its not the system itself, just the power brick.
