One question: wouldn't you suppose to do a layer of true oil before applying the wax? Or you never need to repeat true oil layer, since it was already applied on the factory and you have never sanded that deep to remove all of it since then? Just a little bit confused. Overall, having the neck prepared on the factory with true oil + wax, what is needed to take care of it daily? Just polish cloth to remove the dust & dirt? If it is relatively clean, what is the process to take care of it? If it was poly coated, I would use spray polisher and carnauba wax once-twice a year. What is the analog of similar care for this type of neck? As I assume that the sandpaper + was is something you do rarely when the neck gets dirty/used/dry (?).
The headstock is finished with poly beyond the line you mentioned in the vicinity of the nut not tru-oil. the unfinished part of the neck shaft uses a mix of tru-oil and gunstock that is wiped on and wiped off.
Man, I really want to refresh my stingray neck, but the birchwood stuff is so expensive over where I live. How frequently do you have to take care this finish? Is it worth getting these products if I only have 2 necks I want to treat?

Interesting, I have finished many necks with Tru oil and it has the same look and feel as the headstock of EBMM guitars...good to know ... thanks
