I’m all for it if they keep Annie Potts and the Zoe Perry it won’t be the same if they exclude them. I’m glad to hear Missy is on!!
Even though we will all expect it at some point, it will be heartbreaking to see Georgie and Mandy divorce.

@@toringepedersen9614 I think that’s the idea of the studio behind the show, but in the Big Bang theory it was stated that Georgie got married twice and divorced twice. That means that if they ever get remarried, first Georgie will have to find another woman to marry and divorce. All of this process will surely take a lot of time and probably a good number of seasons. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see them remarrying in 2035.

@@yudhazacharias9377 how I mentioned in my previous comment, it’s possible that Georgie and Mandy will get remarried eventually, but for that to happen first Georgie will have to find another woman to marry. In my opinion at a certain point, with this other woman in the picture, Georgie will be conflicted if whether or not he will still have feelings for Mandy, causing problems in his second marriage and then the inevitable second divorce. All of this events may take at least 10 years in real time, as there will have to be a lot of chapters and moments of Georgie’s life to be covered.
So instead of doing what Young Sheldon did having no audience and none of that clapping noise you usually put in sitcoms. they're going to go back to that now basically like The Big Bang theory

I heard sitcoms weren't being made anymore but now the Connors finished and that 90s show is successful they're obviously back in fashion again
I was about to say............I hope it's a return to classic 90s television sitcoms and not drama sitcom.
I feels similar to that 70s Show. I hope it takes from early 90s sitcoms and draws from it. Like teaching you life lessons, express the ups and downs of young love, overcoming obstacles, be yourself and etc.
I hated Young Sheldon and I hated Sheldon in Big Bang Theory. I always thought Georgie has a better backstory.
Being the black sheep of the family, making bad life decisions and becoming the most successful out of the 3 kids. I think everyone relates or liked Georgie better because he was more relatable.
Georgie lives his life following his heart, passion, and emotions.
They have a similar stage

Reading some comments about the laugh track that Young Sheldon didn't have and this one does, I'm assuming that since Young Sheldon had adult Sheldon narrate it , a laugh track would have been out of place. This is going back to sitcom concept. Hope they do not stray too far from the good writing they did on TBBT and YS.
It's a sitcom like big bang theory rather than a comedy drama like young Sheldon
I mean they did that when Sheldon sat on the Big Bang theory that George cheated on Mary when on young Sheldon, he actually walked in on his mom and dad when she was wearing a blonde wig and assumed that his dad cheated on his mom

@@ak102986 Its only stupid that they left out George talking to Sheldon about it. I could have totally seen George trying to explain it to Sheldon but him being embarassed brushing it off and telling Sheldon to never bring it up again
@MelancholyJoker19 it was stupid because Sheldon would have known it was his mother. They changed it to avoid having George cheat because that would have made him human. Instead they went with stupidity.
Well since they undone Sheldon father cheating on his mother. I'm sure they will mess with the brother 2 ex wives

Oh I can't wait for George to put Audrey in her place in young Sheldon. I hate Audrey. She was such a stuck up snob and I was waiting for someone to call her out on her behaviour but l'm glad it's gonna happen in this show.

If I’m being honest here, how could such a nice guy like Jim End up with a woman like Audrey?
I think that it's possible Audrey started out way nicer in the beginning. Hopefully this will be explained in-show.

I loved Georgie and Mandy together, so I hope she is also his second wife. Someone should tell Mandy's mom to hold her tongue. One thing Georgie is not, is dumb. Georgie was / is my favorite character. Montana Jordan is a fabulous actor. Glad some of the other actors / characters, will be seen.
I love that they’re bringing back the laugh track with this show like in The Big Bang Theory, it makes me laugh 2 times more. (It made sense in Young Sheldon because Sheldon took everything seriously) but with George & Mandy’s First Marriage, I don’t know we’ll see.

I fear this show will experience the same major issue that Young Sheldon did... having to be "truthful" to the characters established in TBBT. Daddy Cooper was made to seem like a cheating drunk but Young Sheldon had to basically undo that over fans loving Daddy Cooper. Now they have the problems of Georgie being made to seem like a womanizer with multiple divorces like started out as on Young Sheldon but the audience seems to love the Georgie/Mandy dynamic
Sequel to a Prequel... An unusual sentence to put together.
Personally I think these shows do need to follow the story behind Big bang otherwise what’s the point. Plus it would be great to someday see who the other ex wife is

Emily osment got into young Sheldon, got 2 season, and then got whole Georgie's first marriage. How genius is that actress
OK now I have to actually keep up with this big bang spinoff. And watch both Young Sheldon all the way through. I've seen bits and pieces of the mother series but I'll get to that after George and mindy or if there's a mid season break.
Also damn I knew big bang was gonna follow me for the rest of my life but didn't think it would follow me out to Lubbock.

I do not understand why they need to follow some radon line from the Big Bang Theory. This is it’s on show and characters and the writing should reflect it’s own storyline. No divorce needed

They can revise it. I'm still hoping George Sr will appear in a dream. I'm sure it depends how audience responds.
Georgie has always seemed older. In some respects. A good actor.

Most of the time you’re correct but there are outliers like the NCIS’s the CSI’s and Fraiser and of course young Sheldon so this might have hope

They better bring Mary, Meemaw and Missy. Mandy and her parents are kinda boring.
I like her parents I think they could have gotten a better person to play the mom. The dad is perfect always loved him as an actor especially during his Madtv days.
Also it gives two opposing viewpoint of marriage. The lovey romantic phase of young love to the older years of marriage.
This is highlighted in the distance of the two couples. Georgie and Mannie are always close together and her parents always have some type of space or obstacles between them.
I think it was smart to put her parents in. It creates an opposing force aka the mom that we can go against. Kind of like Joffrey from Game of Thrones. I just hope they actually write her well. So she can be a loved character. Like Dorothy mom from Golden Girls, The Butler from Fresh Prince of Bel Air, or the grandma from family matters.
I personally hate how riders today have to deal with the psychotic people of the world that gets so upset when something changes when when they make an episode how are they supposed to know the exact future that hey a spin-off of another spin-off is going to happen off the show the writing for one episode today I believe fans need to realize in 2024 if it's actually just a good fun episode just get over the little things when a writer writes the first episode of a series all they're trying to do is hey I just hope it gets picked up maybe from the pilot hey I know the pilot I'm about the right today is going to have 12 year series and then to spin-offs connected to it so I better make sure everything connects to each other that's just impossible people live in reality it's a wonderful place I don't know where you guys live but I like to live in reality
If they do the thing where they have Georgie and Mandy get divorce only to remarry, it will be the dumbest thing ever in the history of television. It's just them trying to stick to canon but change it simultaneously. Georgie and Mandy look like crap.

After how they killed off the dad for no good reason I'm not really looking forward to this seeing how Georgie is portrayed in TBBT, they built his character up so much and his grown into such a fan favorite it would hurt too much to see him fall.

No good reason? George's death was well established on TBBT... the show which is the reason the Coopers exist in the first place. And the loss of pop-pop and his father played a big part on who adult Sheldon is.
Where's the appeal in glorifying a marriage that you already know is going to fail? 👎
