Definitely sucks that this is the solution , doesn’t make sense that it’s cheaper to throw away than to Recycle , should be the opposite way more expensive to throw away and less to recycle therefore it pushes people more towards recycling. I am landfill operator in CA and we are filling up fast as well , we got 3-4 years left here in this landfill in Glendale CA.
Here at our landfill they get methane gas run generator to make landfill self sufficient and power for a city close by going on forty years still going strong they put liners in for ground water protection
