    Preparing wall is most inportant I agree then I seal the wall with 2 coats of exteria PVA glue watered down 30%. When you can't project an image on site use large piece of paper then project image on to that using blackboard coloured chalk. Tape it to wall then transfer image using pressure. Chalk lines are easy painted over. Results are allways great. These are my methods of been a sign writer artist that I'm glad to share.

      Great tip. Just an added note on this method for novices. The chalked side needs to be toward the wall in order for this to work. Remember that if you turn your image over to put the chalk side towards the wall it will be reversed. If you don't want it reversed (ie., in the case of text) you can draw your image on the paper and then chalk the back side and trace the image using pressure from the correct side.

    I'm sure you know this but another good tip for getting that pattern on the wall in a tight situation ,it could be projected onto paper and then pounced I know it's old school but it works and thanks for the tip on the too much detail I've been doing this one we're all that people are just going to be super close-up on and I questioned all the time if I was putting too much detail into it but anything that you had to get on scaffolding to see I made sure to just make it look good practiced good brushstroke memory but didn't nit pick it to the death. I watched the video looking for tips for top coating. I've never talked to her in an indoor mural before either. But this is any yogurt shop in a high-traffic area with a lot of kids, so graffiti isn't really a problem, but it's going to be cleaned up constantly. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Have a great day. Thanks for your video.

    Yoooooo, I'm so glad I found you (one of the top options, good job SEO)! I've been doing chalk art & menus for 7yrs, shifted to include paint soon after, and was asked to do my FIRST outdoor mural this month. I knew there was way more that I needed to know before embarking - this video helped validate some hurtles I had already considered, and shed a light on many more. You rock. Already subscribed

    To keep taped edges clean and crisp and prevent paint bleeding under the edge, you can paint the edge of the tape with the color that is under the tape. This will "seal" the edges and give a nice crisp line.
    You could also "seal" the edge of the tape by painting over the tape edge with a clear coat or a clear medium.

      @@letterfella I did it, but honestly after tracing one gnome home I ditched the projector and freehanded the rest. 😁 Fun, and cartonishi instead of real life. I have all of the can goods in the pantry hidden behind a gnomis village and a few gnomes. A Smurflike quality lol

    I did some airbrushing as a hobby and painted a few small wall murals - didn't prep the wall properly at one location and my paint reacted in some areas. So I'd agree from experience about wall prep lol

    Any experience with samples versus pints/quarts. Sherwin Williams said the samples do not have the same preservatives in the paint as the wall paint. 🤷🏻‍♀️ will that make a difference on an inside mural?

    Choosing the correct roller for the specific surface. Smooth metal requires a different roller than rough concrete or stucco for example.

    I have a question so my bedroom's wall is oil based and l plan to paint it on with acrylic paint does it required coating to get a smooth and waterproof surface or should. Skip the coating section?

    • @Moonacle
      @Moonacle 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      your acrylic paint is water based, so its going to fight with the oil based paint. I use a primer undercoat that will paint ontop of the oil coat and allow acrylic to stick. Your local hardware/paint shop will be able to help you out no sweat 😎

    I say this respectfully. Please don't use the word street art in your title unless you've been involved in street life or had to run from the cops or been raided in a train yard for your art. Saying your street art then explaining how to use anti graffiti chemicals? 🤔 Your doing street murals and have nothing to do with street or subway art.
