Feel bad for people who haven't found your channel yet bcs honestly I've watched all your videos, and the quality for both of your video and works are super amazing😍😍 I reeeeeeeaaally hoped that your channel someday would grow bigger Amen❤
You are truly so talented and so cool. I don't know the first darn thing about fly fishing, but it's clear I'm watching a master at work. Thanks for sharing your creations with us!
I have a bit of a phobia for bugs, but this genuinely amazes me. Watching the attention to detail you put into these little pieces of art really makes me think about how these tiny little creatures have much more personality in their looks rather than being a spec. I think bugs are some of the most unique creatures on earth, and though they disturb me quite a bit, it’s very interesting to see them from a new - and artistic - perspective.
I’ve watched like 3 videos now. And in all the years I’ve watched people make a fly, I have never seen any as realistic at these. I thought the others looked good until I saw these. Absolutely phenomenal work.
Your work is incredible- I love how vastly differing your materials are, yet you make them work perfectly together! You have a great blend of technical skills and creative thinking.
This should be a crime how good this is. Everything is so perfect the sound the art just Everything. It's crazy good and I got no word how to explain it 😮❤😮❤
This was soooooo relaxing and I also love to fish! It was intriguing to watch you perform your art and craft and create something so lifelike and detailed. Keep up the amazing work!
You are so talented. Awesome content. Very very creative. I’m learning new skills in a super chill professionally made video. Thank you Erin. Looking forward to more!
Seriously... I was getting rid of some logs on our property, one busted open, and there were grubs EXACTLY LIKE THIS!! E X A C T L Y !! I've been taking photos of real bugs and beatles... so I can have a library of bugs to copy . I'm definitely going to find more of these and capture a photo. Really enjoyed your video, and I subscribed. Thank you for making this fun! Nick in Redfield Arkansas
Ultra realistic! You used some materials i didn't know existed. I started tying wolly buggers when i was 8yo growing up in Alaska as a fishing addict. I gave flies to family for Christmas but got out of tying for about 25 years. Recently picked it up again and its just like riding a bike! I have more attention to detail and tie stronger flies but you are something special!
This is like, truly spectacular. I think a lesser craftswoman would be talking over all of this in typical false youtuber cheer, explaining the materials and making canned jokes. But you just let the art speak for itself. LIke knowing to cut the corners off the cloudy plastic to make the end of the grub taper realistically, or using the feather fibers as legs. Complete mastery. I'm so psyched to watch more.
Know nothing of fly tying or fishing, just assumed from the thumbnail that there would be a grub in the video. Spent the first 8 minutes wondering when the bug was gonna show up before the sudden realization hit 🤣🤣 Awesome video and amazing work creating a beautiful and realistic grub!
I tried making maggot flies using white teflon wire tubing chopped up and threaded on a hook to give it that segmented look .Not as good as the one you made , yours looks amazing..
Would you ever consider doing a posting 2 of each video, the first being the standard video but the 2nd with you narrating the process or talking about what tieing the fly was like?
Than you so much for asking! I don't sell flies at the moment (haven't found a way to fit production in with a full time job and keeping this channel up) but I may give some away in the future!
I could care less about fly fishing as the type of fish I go for have no interest in that kind of stuff (I fish in a sound for salmon and rockfish). But still, Im mesmerized. These are works of art and facinating to watch you make...
Holy crap the thumbnail looked so real that I thought you impaled a grubworm
So did TikTok's AI! Got removed for 'grub torture!'
@@RavenB55 omg me too!!!!!
I thought it was a real grub. Didn't see the hook. Guess I'm a fish now. Also didn't know what fly tying meant.

Thanks so much for watching and for the encouragement!
@@shetiesflies 😊♥️
Perfectly said!!! I agree 100%
Well I just found it and very disappointed. Just wanted to watch some fly tying not a bunch of tinkling noises :/
@@Thoroughly_Wet why not try to enjoy both?😊
Thats just a grub. Wow. Gorgeous.
Never forget to give em a lil brushie.....make em look nice. uwu
🤣🤣 needs his hairs brushed!
Just from the thumbnail alone, WOW that looks cool as heck!
Thank you!! It was a fun one!
This should be a museum piece
It would be really cool to do a series for a museum installation! :)
Amazing. You are innovating on the fly tying community.
I appreciate that! Love finding new materials that behave the way I need! :)
Such a steady hand guided by a talented and creative mind.
Amazed at how real that grub turned out.
Keep going !!!
Thank you so much for the encouragement!!
This was meant to fool a fish and it just fooled me, wow!
Mission accomplished!

What a great thing to come of this video! I agree - I even creeped myself out with this one - but bugs are so fascinating and biologically crucial!
micro dosed and watched this like 20 times.. thanks.. so many ideas from this with no annoying talk.. thanks love!
NIIIIICE!!! Glad you enjoyed it on another level!
Just incredible! Looks just like a grub! Awesome work as always🙌🏼
Thank you!!
Holy smokes!!! 18 minutes of forgetting the burning pain in my hands and foot!!! Thank you very much!!!!
Best thing I've read today. Sorry you're dealing with pain and glad this could help you forget about it, even for a little bit!

Really starting to enjoy this channel. You are a talented artist.
Thank you! Glad you're enjoying! :)
@@shetiesflies you do high quality work. Would be hesitant to fish with flys that are good enough for museum display.

What an amazing compliment!! Thank you so much!
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought: "there is no way they are doing larvae!"
And jere we are

Beautiful work
Thank you, Jeff!
Saw the thumbnail not understanding what the video was about. When it clicked, whole newfound respect. I thought the bug was real!
Thanks! TikTok's AI thought it was so real they removed the video for 'torturing a grub'!
A great Ice Fishing jig for sure . Slammin all the perch 🎣🎣✊👊
Ice fishing is on my bucket list!
Beautiful!
Thank you! 🥰
the kind of fly that will make you cry when you lose it
Too true!
I lov ur videos thank u so much ❤😍
Thank YOU!!
As a bass fisherman, got damn cant imagine using this. Id slay 10" bass all day.
Right?!
Enjoy your videos, always learn something. Do you fish these flies, or are they going to a museum?
I try to fish them when they make sense for my area :)
As a bug person who doesn't fish, realistig bug type flies are my favourite 🥺🤲
Mine, too!
Gosh I doubt there's a fish that could ever *not* be fooled by that fly! Need to try tying something like that.
Thanks! Give it a shot and let me know how it goes!
I thought this channel was a joke at first (like haha a woman making flies) but now I'm hooked and wondering if I could get into making flies too 😂

Absolutely amazing work every time. What did you use for the grub worm?
Mostly silicone tape - I love the stuff! Really versatile!
Wow! Subbed

Definitely on my list to fit into the work flow. Thanks so much for watching and subscribing!!
What i wouldn't give to see these works of art used in action, just so curious to see how effective these are.
Glad you enjoy them!!
What a lifelike grub..
Thank you! Some mistakes were made with the red UV polish, but overall, I'm happy with it. Need to make another one!
What kind of hook is that? Thats very real looking larva
It’s a Mustad heritage shrimp back hook
Interesting mayby it would be almost like a circle hook could be used for barbless restricted fishing areas.
I tried making maggot flies using white teflon wire tubing chopped up and threaded on a hook to give it that segmented look .Not as good as the one you made , yours looks amazing..
Thank you!
Que exelente señuelo muy muy buena creatividad saludos des de guatemala 👍👍👍👍👍👍

man i was wondering why i was seeing someone hold a grub with tweezers only to find out it was you! this is so unreal. the grub really looks alive
Thank you!! Really happy with the translucent effect of the silicone tape!
