I watch a lot of fly tying videos and this is one of the best. Love the fly. So many opportunities to screw it up. You have perfected the techniques. Thank You.
This fly is amazing and if there wasn't a fly already called the serial killers, your fly deserves the title. Your skill is amazing as well so thanks for the great demo. I think after making a half dozen I might be close to yours. Only maybe. You just gained another follower.
Very nice fly and video and very clearly explaind. Good technique. We all take stuff from other tyers. I can see Marc Petit Jean in this one. I am not so crazy about the wing it looks to roughly but thats personal preference .
Great tutorials and flawless tying, very helpful tips and tricks! Although Instagram is nice, I hope you will continue to post some more videos here on youtube as well ;)
AMAZING! Never saw anyone make 2 dubbing loops then combine them together with a bigger dubbing loop! Great job! Please post more of these on TH-cam! (^_^)
Thanks! Yes, it can be a good way of doing it. But I actually make it a bit easier nowadays. Here is a very recent tying instruction where I have simplified or changed minor things. th-cam.com/video/0l03ZXFPaBg/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much for posting this, I love the way they come out! all I would add is that you can color the thread just before making those wraps, makes it easier to get that color in there without seeing the white of the thread, sort of like the resin at the end, easier to put on before you wrap :)
That is outstanding. Subscribed. Your videos stand on their own merit - they do not need elevator piano music. The top three fly dressers on TH-cam (Ord Clarke, McPhail, and Edwards) don't add a music overlay because they are taken seriously enough without it. Doubling back to form a compound material dubbing loop was inspired. Well done!
Put your material list in the Description Box. You'll receive more likes as tyers/viewers can instantly scan to see if they have the required materials. Your way takes 13:00 to see the materials. Also, should you desire to make changes, you can just edit them in the DB. Starting with the hook, list your materials in the order that they are tied in. That is a great tie, got to try that.
Nowadays I use the thinner parts of the stem. That way the stem isn't as visible and the slight color change it gets when you pull the fibers isn't as obvious. But you sure can color it with a marker pen if they are too white.
Wow 😳 that was great i learned thank you for letting us know how
Brilliant double dubbing loop! Never seen that before!
It's a cool technique but nowadays I mix deer hair and cdc in a clip and put it in a split thread. Just because it´s faster :)
Nice looking fly
Thank you!
I am impressed .MORE PLEASE!!! With this COVID all around the world I find tying your flies relaxing.
Thanks! We'll see... :)

This was my first and only SBS-video almost 5 years old. But yes I would do that if I were to do more. Which I am not.

Do. You have a book on making the wings
@@georgepiccin4342 No, not a book. But a tutorial here on my channel.
@onceandaway ok think s
I think if you made a dvd on this you would do good enjoyed this
Creo que mejoraría si el contorno de las alas formado por el raquis se colorease con indeleble de el tono adecuado, es una humilde opinión. Gracias

Los ojos le sobran,lo demás precioso
