5:06 this is really far back. I can't even imagine that this far back, it is over 20 feet away, and no one with 20/20 vision could see the board at this distance. Your best bet is to just move up, but not in the first row either, as then you would have to pitch your face upward to see the board

That's only because attendance is mandatory for the first two weeks, due to federal regulations, but after that initial period has passed, then attendance becomes optional, and students don't even care as much anymore about actually attending the class

is there a difference between teaching and lecturing? because I believe professor's do not actually TEACH, instead they ramble about the material and I don't know if a professor has any teaching training, that's just for regular school teachers. I am also wondering why they don't use the word "Leasson" anymore in college. in high school, a teacher would say "we are going to talk about in today's LEASSON, but a professor would say instead, today we are going to talk about in today's LECTURE. is a lesson the same as a lecture or is it something different? in high school, they don't really say the word LECTURE very much. is lecturing a form of teaching or is it just telling stories/rambling about an academic topic. there are a lot of professors that actually teach by explaining concepts and giving out examples or telling facts to the class like a normal teacher would do. I know both school and college are part of the education industry, but I think the reason why Colleges are called institutions instead of schools is because obviously they are so much bigger that a regular school and it's on a campus which mean there are multiple buildings within that institution. I guess higher education has its own terminology unlike high school. I think the reason why a lot of people say professors don't teach as good as high school teachers is because they are more focused on researching rather that teaching. and when they DO teach, for the most part they teach about their spastic specialty. For example if a professor of Biology or Chemistry specializes in enzymes, they would teaching a Biochemistry class and he/she will usually talk about their field of research rather than the basic principals such as DNA and RNA, nucleic acids and carbohydrates, and of course enzymes. maybe I am completely wrong, please correct me if I am. thank you! :)
