    I grabbed a bottle in Nashville a couple of months ago. Love it wish I would have gotten backup. For under 60 it's a banger

    I have bought several bottles of their standard Sour Mash $39.99) and enjoy it and have come close to getting this one but for the price had been hesitant, so glad I found your review. Cheers 🥃

    Thanks for the review. I've got one last bottle of Belle Meade Reserve Cask Strength (111.2 Proof). I believe the 108 proof version replaced the cask strength offerings. I really enjoyed the cask strength bottles.

    Great review! Just discovered and subbed to your channel recently. I’ve been going back no watching past videos. I’m really enjoying your Bourbon hunting videos too! Keep up the good work!

      Sadly, you passed up a great Tennessee whisky 🥃, but, $100 is not a good price, I actually picked up this same btl. for about $49, and my nxt. btl. was $17--!! The Food City in S.E. Ky. had 2 charge that bec. they marked the whisky for mistakenly a such a low price and, had to sell it for the low $

    I get pink bubble gum on pinot noir cask finished whiskey. Very champagne flavored also. I wasn't blown away by Belle Meade, but yeah, the Stellum is really good for $55.

    Excellent review. I have always been curious about this one and we almost chose it for an upcoming MGP blind video, but as soon as you said peanut, I was glad we didn’t. If I want nutty, KC scratches that itch for a lot less money and a great flavor profile. Cheers guys!!!

    Nelson Brother is distilling one of their products its a 91 proof Sour Mash whiskey which has wheat in mashbill. Around $25. I visited the distillery in June in Nashville. 👍🏻🥃

      @@TheBourbonNote ya it's actually a good solid budget pour. It has corn,wheat and malted barley in mashbill. The Nelson Brothers Classic and Reserve ones are still sourced from MGP

    One of my favorites and sad to see it go bye bye. I have 4 bottles bunkered. I still see it at some stores around me for $65. May need to pick up another one or 2 before gone. It will be replaced by Nelson Brothers Reserve, which I have had and do not like as much. 🥃

    Great review. I have the same thoughts as you guys. I never pulled the trigger due to price for what you get. I will definitely try a pour

    Nice review. I haven’t cracked mine open yet, but I enjoy my Stellum store pick that is all MGP. Any plans to do an MGP flight of some of your favorite MGPs?

    its all over Illinois ….. if its discontinued , they seem to always re-stock the shelves!! Seems fishy to me !!

    • @TheBourbonNote
      @TheBourbonNote  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's still available around here quite a bit, too. I wonder if it's just not quite popular enough to be flying off the shelves. Seems like it has a cult following.

    Got it for about $60 in northern Indiana a couple of months ago. First pour was mediocre. Went back a few weeks later and it was much better. But not worth more than $60, and not sure I'd pay that again.

    If you can find this, buy two bottles. It’s a great port for $55

    Though this wasn’t available anymore just what’s on the shelf? And that is ridiculous if they are making it and not sending it out. Nelson brothers never seen that one. This seems to be just like the early times which I’ve never had the first bottle so if I see it I have nothing to compare it to so I’m good with what it is as long as it’s good. MGP is one of the most important distilleries in the country. So many brands use their juice it’s ridiculous. And I’ve not had a bad one yet. Bulliet redemption Yellowstone and countless others use them as a base then work their voodoo and put it out under their label. What’s not to like seriously.

    • @TheBourbonNote
      @TheBourbonNote  ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally agree. Haven't had bad MGP yet!

    • @TheBourbonNote

      I heard that these are now only sold at the gift shop at the distillery. There might still be some bottles left on shelves. They're new brand is called Nelson Bros. Haven't had that one yet.

      @TheBourbonNote I heard that this company was bring back Bella to Tennessee through another youtuber. Have you heard anything of the sort. Basically not changing the label. Some being discontinued but Bella was not. Wondering!

    • @TheBourbonNote
      @TheBourbonNote  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I think it's going to just be available at the distillery. Not sure about anywhere else in Tennessee.

      @TheBourbonNote Guess what ?
      I just called the distillery and asked, are you discontinuing the Bella label ? And this is what they told me . ( NO ). It will only be sold in Tennessee. I asked is this to wean the customer off the label and eventually get customers used to your brand ? ( NO ).
      Bella has way to many followers for them to get rid of the label. They did say they were trying to match the taste of Bella. And if you were to ask me this is my opinion.
      " If you were trying to get your brand out there and cut off the rest of the nation from Bella, that's a good indication the company is playing both sides to see who the loyal followers are.
      There was a crisis a few years back. The people who owned Huy Fong Sriracha sauce were going to discontinuing the label. People freaked out and started buying cases of it. It was so loved the company apologized and said, we are keeping it now.
      Bella needs the followers. Maybe you could pitch a as a sponsor and tell everyone to buy a bottle and save the label. Just a thought.
