Hi Nikky ;) Another sweet video! I only began watching you a few weeks ago and have gone back and watched others. I still want to go back and watch the others ... when I'm in my art space I like to watch videos. When watching yours I stop often to watch and not just listen. I hope your channel does well and gives you an income, that would be awesome, as you are talented at the video part of it...I love the scenery and all the shots. You are a delight to listen to as well ;) I had a horse boarded at a local farm for about 8 years and miss him ... Two nights ago, we experienced bad storms here, and both Midway @ O Hare airports in Chicago Illinois temporarily closed @ tornados came very close to our home.
I prayed to God through it all as we sought shelter in the basement of our home. I was so scared as I prayed!
Other than trees down in the area, and 24 hours without electricity, everyone here is okay!

Hi Nikky, The plant is called Ragwort in UK. Yes, it is toxic to horses if they eat it.

Thank you for another video, you are certainly doubly blessed; to live somewhere you love and is also practical. I’ve discovered it is very therapeutic to watch someone weed wack the edges, almost as good as watching people use a high pressure water blaster. 😂😂
Mother nature can be scary as you never know how bad a storm will be. You are sensible to have emergency plans in place.

Hi Nikki, the yellow plant is called Common Ragwort in English, I have it in my garden in Somerset UK for the bees and insects. So nice to see everything drying up and a bit of sunshine ☀️ Lovely video again and great to see you getting on with your chores whilst I sit with my coffee 😉 😂 take good care xx

Hello again Nikky ☺. The yellow 🌾🌾 plant is Ragwort in the UK and horse owners always remove it from the fields. However, it still grows in the wild and its the main food source for the cinnabar moth and is often covered with a stripey looking caterpillars. Hope the kittens 🐾🐾 are doing ok. Rain, rain and more rain here in the UK too ☔.

I always enjoy your videos. For me it brings back memories from when I grew up on a farm. It's not an easy life. It's alot of hard work. We raised cows and sheep, but for me those were some of the best times of my life. If I could do it all again I would. Thank you for your videos. 😊❤

I have 3 acres of land and live in a house on it and have 2 donkeys, 2 sheep, 6 hens and a dog. All are rescue animals and, like you, I love the lifestyle outdoors among the animals in the North Yorkshire countryside.

I live in East Texas and last Monday the hurricane that hit the coast of Texas came straight up to where I live and we had tornado warnings. It was a brutal day but we got through it without damage. Looking forward to next week.

Still is a lovely lifestyle, hard work sometimes I expect. I don’t like wind at all and for some reason there seems to be more windy days than we used to have x

I’m sorry about the weather coming. I live in dread where I am with weather threats all summer long. It’s serious and I’ve developed a phobia-just hearing the alerts. Love your channel! I also have a small homestead that I manage by myself and you are so right that it is work and not all glam as some portray. It is worth it and after the storms as 8 am 8n Texas and have just gone without electricity after a storm that left millions without electricity with a clean and beautiful views as well as sunsets. Hugs and love you from Texas! Keep the videos coming, love the Netherlands, I lived in Amsterdam as a child for a short period of time.

Hi Nikky, dank je wel voor weer een heerlijke eerlijke video 🥰. Ja je hebt volkomen gelijk hoor, achteraf wonen zoals jij dat kunt komt vaak heel idyllisch over. Het is denk ik erg naïef te denken dat deze manier van leven zonder problemen verloopt. En toch heeft het juist daardoor zijn charmes. Meiske geniet ervan zolang je kunt hoor , het past helemaal bij jou! Als ik zie hoe je ogen oplichten als je over de dieren praat en over de natuur, hoe blij je kijkt als de paarden lekker liggen te rollen etc. Zelfs ik krijg er zo een geluksgevoel bij als ik jou zo blij zie zijn. Ik sta er ook helemaal niet van te kijken dat je een fotografe bent, je mooie macro opnames van bijvoorbeeld insecten verraadde dat eigenlijk al een beetje 😃Nogmaals dank je wel Nikky voor je mooie video's !!! Ik maak intussen mondreclame voor je kanaal dus ik hoop dat je veel nieuwe leden erbij krijgt. 🥰

Hi Nikky! Another beautiful informative video. Explaining the good and sometimes bad things (storms) that can happen. I am happy to hear you do seek shelter if it gets really bad. When you talked about living in a building in the city, I cannot imagine you in that element, your whole personality shows where you are happiest! I am a renter in a small city, but the prices for renting in the US has doubled. Its outrageous, even the cost of studio and 1 bedrooms. I am not surprised at all to hear you are a photographer! It shows in all of your videos. You have the eye for it. I am sure that also keeps you very busy! I am thrilled to see many new viewers, your channel is fantastic showing your beautiful country, your beautiful animals. (I'm at the part where you show the clouds) whoa! We had some weird "shelf" clouds a few weeks ago, some of the strangest clouds I have ever seen in michigan! See you next week and take care! ♥

Hello, I watch your videos only occasionally. It is hard to mute during music and then unmute if you are talking. Nature is so much softer on people's ears than music.theres all sorts of tastes.

So many people romanticize country life. It can be dirty, brutal, scary, or even dangerous.
For me, the pros outnumber the cons, but that doesn't mean life is Instagram perfect.
