Oh Nikky, I LOVED this whole video. Showing us the entire property and the drone footage puts it into perspective of how huge your land is! You radiate such positivity and happiness, it shows! I love how you gave us some background of how you arrived at living here! I live in city, and it is my dream when I retire in september to move south in the US where I spent time with my grandmother. The Netherlands is gorgeous, and its sad you said there is not as much land as before. I was thinking maybe you need a little golf cart to ride around the property to to visit your mom. 🙂 you are truly living the dream. I love all of the animals and you even made a bedroom for your baby! I saw a picture of Africa, have you been there? you said you traveled. Don't worry about any messes, it looks quite tidy to me. It is alot of work keeping up with all of the animals, the property, I'm sure you're tired at night! I truly hope one day my daughter ( she is 18 almost 19) finds her true happiness. She is in college but not sure what she wants to do with her studies. She is a literary genius, and it will be something along English degree, or translator. Your parents did a great job raising you, appreciating all of God's miracles and the beauty of our earth. I am so envious, I could live in a tiny house, and be HAPPY HAPPY. You're a ray of sunshine to watch and your just adorable! I can't wait to see the place in summertime. Do you have a vegetable garden? also, can I ask what you studied at university, because you are jack of all trades! see you next week, take care!

Oh and I live in Horsefly BC Canada. We usually have a couple weeks of -38C but mostly -15 C - 25C and snow but not so much this year.

Your tiny house is lovely and what a blessing to be in such beautiful surroundings and to have the animals there. It is an idyllic lifestyle to me, yet I do know it must be hard work looking after the animals and the land. One thing I am worried about is the wolf that you mentioned in a previous video where you said because of the wolf the neighbours sheep/lambs had to be kept in the shed for safety. You mean you have wolves roaming around and howling at night ?!! Is that scary 😲. Sorry if you have answered this before but I am a new subscriber.
Thank you so much! I really love it, even the hard work. It's just part of it and I try to enjoy every moment. Well, we have a few wolves in the area, but I have not seen them on the property. Hopefully it stays this way. We also not really hear them, we mostly hear the foxes at night, there are a lot around here. Thank you for writing a comment and asking a question, I always try to answer everything, so if you want to know anything, just ask! ❤️
@@nikkydegraaf Thank you for your reply which is most interesting to me. I have lived in a country with foxes so I know what an ear splitting noise they can make at night 😀 but never lived in a country with wolves. Here we also have plenty of wildlife - kangaroos and wallabies of course; but also at night the possums can make a big noise on the roof.

Hoi Nikky, wat een mooie plek en dat nog wel in provincie Utrecht, ben zelf ook in die provincie geboren 16 km ten zuiden van stad Utrecht in het groene hart van Nederland. Je woont daar heel erg mooi en net wat je zegt als je toch veel buiten bezig bent, mag je ook tevreden zijn met een kleine plek om te wonen. Ik heb ook ongeveer zo gewoond en het beviel mij best, als ik maar ruimte en natuur om me heen heb, zou ik het zo weer doen. Leuk die Tinker die op haar kont blijft zitten, ha, ha, lieve hond ook, fijn plekje onder je bed. Leuk om alles te zien zo, geniet er maar van.
Hey, wat leuk om te horen! Het bevalt mij inderdaad heel goed zo, maar het is dan ook heerlijk om al die buiten ruimte te hebben en ik ben mij goed bewust van het feit dat ik veel geluk heb dat het zo kan. Het is ook heerlijk om de diertjes om mij heen te hebben. Super bedankt voor je leuke reactie, ik waardeer het heel erg!

Nikky, actually you need a room for your work and extra staff when you are not using daily! For a single person your place is enough to live...we dont need more place to moving on.....but some people like big houses, many rooms, more spaces for their unlimited staff!!💖💖💖💖

Ok well I wonder if you ride your horse Bounty? Also do you harvest the pork or pet only. I'm glad your family is close by for socializing. I too live in a rural (forest) setting and I miss my family.
One more thing Nikky, what did you study at university? I like talking with you because it's the mom in me 😃
I'm actually in the process of training Bounty, it will still take some time to really ride her, I think. But maybe you will see something of this in the summer. The pigs we have now, are just pets. They are also pretty small and not great for meat. And we like them a little bit to much ;) I love that my family is so close, I understand it's very hard for you. And of course, you can ask me anything. I studied Photography & Communications at university in Amsterdam. I got my degree about 4 years ago. ❤️☺️

I love seeing the horses out the window too! My horses both passed away recently, within about 6 months of each other, and I still look for them in the morning when I look out the window. Animals bring so much joy

Hi Nikki! I just found your channel and am watching you from New England in the U.S. I am also an animal and nature lover as well. Right now I have 3 dogs and an older very well loved kitty but I have had chickens,sheep,goats,pigs and a pony when I lived in Vermont and my children were young. I also heated with a wood stove back then and used 2 wood stoves this winter to stay warm. I very much enjoyed your tour of your property and your tiny home…. I have been think about going tiny for a while now… in Massachusetts where I live now only a few towns allow them. So I am going to start looking for land to buy so I can get back to gardening and raising chickens for eggs and living tiny!

You are in-between my eldest son & my daughter in age so I dont consider you as old, lol. My daughter is 29 in December. Your home is lovely...like a rustic cabin. I live in a small (English style) cottage, and have two old dogs. In town, so we walk to a beautiful park that has a creek running through it, woods, and marshland. Best wishes taking care of your home and animals.

i love cozy cottages, the older the better, they're more work but they do look so grand
you should consider putting a roof over your deck/veranda, it would make it even more cozy

Oh my goodness your sweet horse!🤣So adorable.
For me your house is the perfect size, maybe even a bit too big. I would probably move my bed into the main area and use the bedroom as a walk-in closet because I don't plan to have a lot of visitors when I have my own. That large window is perfect for the table. A beautiful view. I'm so glad you found your happiness.
Since you make your own soap, I was wondering if you make other beauty supplies? Because your skin is amazing and I want to look like that. Please don't tell me it's genetics.😅

Hi Nikky, nooit gedacht dat er een tweede van mij rondloopt op deze aardbol hihihi. Hoewel ik 31 jaar ouder ben herken ik zo ontzettend veel van jou met 1 groot verschil JIJ KUNT GELUKKIG JE DROOM LEVEN ZOALS JE WILT , HEERLIJK IN DE NATUUR❣
Ik kan alleen maar blijven dromen van een huisje achteraf met wat grond en dieren, des te meer geniet ik met volle teugen van jou video's. Ook ik ben realistisch 🤠 en LEEF in mijn appartementje. Ook bij mij is het geen meubeltoonzaal hoor. Net zoals jij leg / gooi ik de spullen die ik snel even kwijt moet op een hoop. Eens in de zoveel tijd ga ik dan die stapel eens te lijf om weer wat orde op zaken te stellen. Helaas duurt dat opgeruimde nooit langer dan een dag of 3 🤭 . Meiske geniet zolang je kunt van je geweldige leven in de natuur en dank je wel dat we deelgenoot mogen zijn van al dat moois ❣❤❣

Hello, I would say you do a nice job with your Tiny House. It looks very nice and you look so healthy. You have beautiful skin! I used to make soap and I enjoyed doing that. I should get back to it. I am 71, but I keep very busy selling on Ebay and I do a TH-cam channel as well. I love the outdoors and nature as well.
