    Thanks for this video, you'd be surprised but nobody really shows how to hook them all up to a pa mixer, I've searched. Thank you🙏

    For control room?
    Is that a TRS 1/4 in cable to a XLR or just a reg speaker cable to XLR?

    Can you connect PA speakers, AV receiver? What’s your opinion?

    • @UCanFixAnything

      I mean, if you have pre-outs on your receiver then yes definitely you can. PA speakers are generally designed to be loud as opposed to home audio which is generally designed to have clarity. So depends on use case.

      Ok I have another scenario if your PA speakers have speaker terminal, can you connect them directly to the AV receiver if your av receiver, does not have pre-out

    good day, I have a t.amp --800 thomann Power amplifer and a mackie 12FX mixer and a Plye Passive PADH212 speaker. I have the Plye PADH212 speaker connected with 2 speakon cables (L and R) from the passive Plye PADH212 speaker directly to t.amp 800 thomann power amplifier into L & R speaker connections . From the Main out L&R of the mackie 12fx mixer 1/4 input to the T.amp 800 thomann power amplifier chanel A and Chanel B. I have 2 microphones connecected via XLR cables into channel 1 and channel 2 of the mixer. I have no sound coming out of the passive Plye speaker. I tried this in stereo and parrellel modes, I know that the speaker works yet i get no sound. All my cables and volume levels are up and working.. I cannect get any sound of the PA speaker. Any thoughts? thank-you

      Sounds like it is wired correctly. You may need to try switching components if you have some extras to test what is wrong. For example, you could plug your phone into your amp directly, if that works then the mixer is the problem. Or you could hook up a different speaker to amp, if that works then speakers are bad, etc.

      @@UCanFixAnything I had the power amp running on it's own. connected 2 speakon cables to the passive speaker and pluged in a condenser mix, XLR to XLR into channel A, and B and nothing. I plugged in 2 old RCA speakers with the speaker wires as well to the power amplier and tried it and failed. The fans are working, and see the light indicator, I think there is sound subcomponent inside the unit on the mother board or the sub sound board connected that is bad. I think its DEAD.

    Will a receiver do the same as an amp?

    • @UCanFixAnything
      @UCanFixAnything  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean a receiver does have an amp in it. Receivers are generally used more for home audio, but that’s not to say it won’t work.

    Could you use splitter? i.e. split the main XLR into 4.

    • @UCanFixAnything
      @UCanFixAnything  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ya, that is also one way to do it. Then you can just adjust the levels of the speakers at the amps so they play at the same volume.

      Thanks. The reason I ask is I want to do as you have done. Use the Control Room out to active speakers. But still want control speakers facing me during the gig.

    Is it necessary to connect an equalizer to an active speaker

    • @UCanFixAnything
      @UCanFixAnything  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No. A lot of mixers even have equalizers built in. Also your music software (like Spotify) will also have one. So definitely optional.

    I currently have an analog mixer (yamaha mgxu) i dont have a power amp. I have 2 powered speakers and 2 passive speakers. Is there any possibility that i can connect the the 4 speakers? Thanks in advance.

    • @UCanFixAnything
      @UCanFixAnything  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You will need some way to power the passive speakers. You can’t draw power from the amps inside the active speakers to power the passives.

    if i have two different passive speaker can i connect them together ?
    sec , if i have two different amp........... can i connect them together ?

    • @UCanFixAnything
      @UCanFixAnything  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can connect speakers together. You don’t want to connect amps together per se, but you could have them playing the same signal. For example there are amps in both my powered speakers and they are playing off the same output.

    How about if I just want to connect the passive speakers to the mixer without using the amp? wouldn't that work?

    • @UCanFixAnything
      @UCanFixAnything  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It won’t unfortunately. The speakers need power to amplify the signal. In this case the wires won’t even connect. But even if you used adapters to get the wires to connect, the signal would be so low as to not be heard or to be so low in volume as to be useless.

    Can I connect PA speakers to stereo❤ receiver

    • @UCanFixAnything
      @UCanFixAnything  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on your receiver, you will need “preout” ports or other rca out ports (not the speaker wire outputs) to send an unpowered signal. Then you will need a cable to convert from rca to quarter inch or xlr or speakon. Depending on your PAs (assuming they are powered). You could also hook your phone directly up to a PA.

    What if I want to add a powered sub???

    • @UCanFixAnything
      @UCanFixAnything  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are multiple ways to do it. With this setup I would run it through the equalizer (it has a sub out port). Unless you have two subs, then you can run one from each of your powered speakers using the line out on those.

    • @UCanFixAnything

      Just go straight from the mixer to the amp. No need to use the equalizer, can just bypass.
