As for your question, you don't want unfavorable cards above your head. You can think of the Mountain crushing you and the Coffin burying you. Here is a paragraph from my Grand Tableau book: "Cards Above: influence those below. These cards can crush, shade, drain, shine on, or release their beneficial influence to the cards below them. For example, the card that sits above the seeker can show what’s on their minds, out of their control, or influencing them in the most direct way. Positive cards above shower you with their positivity, while negative cards above are impacting you in an unfavorable way. It’s always better to find inauspicious cards below any card in a more controlled position." I totally get that your method is seeing the houses as the influenced and the visiting cards as the influencer but in that case I don't think you can say that the houses don't change since as being "influenced" is being changed, the way I understand it. I learned the other way. Having said that I have your book and love it. Your videos are great also and very helpful even if there is a difference of opinion sometimes. There is always something for everyone.
Thank you! I didn't say the houses don't change meaning - they don't change position. No matter what, house of Rider is only in going to be at the beginning of the spread and touching the house of Clover, Bouquet, and Scythe. And, yes, everyone has to use the cards in the way that makes sense to them but we can still get ideas and inspirations from each other. 😊

Thank you for your videos! Can we interpret the same GT with houses & without houses (with the method of proximity) or we must set the intention , initially, before the GT, ( which way to choose) & then interpret accordingly ?
Great question and the answer is no. The cards will fall according to what you're thinking and what you're intending beforehand. Remember KISS - "keep it simple, silly". Don't make anything harder than it has to be. If you're clear with your intentions, the answers will be clear as well. I'm preparing a new series of MOD GT videos and hopefully, new readers will stop relying so heavily on houses.
hi Lisa, when you do this reading (I don't use Houses) according to your book (page 386), do you set the intention in advance for specific areas of life?
Yes. Your life area cards are always the same - your work card, the relationship cards, etc. You can also use theme cards in spreads for specific questions. For example, if you're asking if you should move to a house or apartment, you'd use the Tower for a theme card to represent the apartment and the House card to represent a house. If performing a work reading, you may choose the Bear to represent your manager, Tower to represent the organization, House to represent the office you work in, and so on, but your life area work card, such as the Moon, would still represent your career and how you're being viewed in that career.

If I lost the envelope with coins/money - Do I have to use a Fish card or still a Key card to find them?
In that case, you could use either because the Fish card really wouldn't represent anything that would help you find it - as in a location. Unless it's near an aquarium or water. But, this is why I always use the Key - I need the other cards to give me the clues.
So with the "sun making the tree grow" - is it that it will take longer to get to her? or does Sun temper tree with it's optimism and success?
You've got the right idea. The Sun brings courage, energy, optimism, confidence, and awareness, right? In reading the pair around the Tree, The Coffin is illness and/or a painful ending. When the Sun follows it, it brings light to the darkness, it brings warmth to the coldness. It brings enthusiasm and optimism to the despair. You want the Sun above or following the Coffin or the Tree, not below or behind.
@@lisaloveslenormand6357 ok- I understand what Sun brings to Coffin. But what does it bring to Tree? Does it make it grow? If tree is showing that it's taking a long time to get divorced, then is Sun making it longer? Or is Sun making it more pleasant?
@@kinkop7381 It brings the same thing to the Tree as it does to the Coffin or any other card. The Sun will never make a negative card more negative and if you were reading the Tree as an unhealthy state, then the Sun is adding strength and light/awareness. You could say that the Sun is helping the Tree in its striving to thrive. As one of the most favorable cards in the deck, the Sun always makes things more pleasant. In a health reading, it's adding strength and courage to the seeker - not the unhealthy state that the Tree may be indicating. Does that make sense?
