This is great info! Not a cameraman, butI bought two. Downgraded both to firmware 1.1.7 based on comments in a
user forum I found. Over three weeks I've got over 125 miles logged.
These devices are amazing. In my community (Oklahoma City, OK, USA) the
ADA act and matching federal funding has improved all sidewalks and
street crossings with ADA compliant ramps and street crossing buttons. I
can go almost anywhere and stay on the sidewalk. 13 miles, up and down
hills, across major streets without ever stepping off the MiniPro.
After the first few miles riding the MiniPro it becomes intuitive and I
truly do not even think about maneuvering the device. It was easier to
learn to ride this than to ride a bike.
As long as riders are conscientious of pedestrians and don't create a
negative perception by tricking, or speeding around when pedestrians are
present this device will become the new urban standard for commuting.

I'm using the Zheyun Crane which I'm really happy with as a Vlogging gimbal. I added a area swiss compatible baseplate and I'm using the Canon EOS M3 for most of my Vlogging. FS7 was used for the BTS stuff.

$600 black friday sale. 10 mph too slow, little kids on bikes blow by me, haha. Even at 10 mph I think a helmet is a must. Fall couple of times, tires too small to get over even an inch or two in step elevation, need to anticipate and jump with the segway. Mine was hard to bluetooth pair and remote control doesn't work - maybe defective. Other than that, it is fun and going in trails and places I would not otherwise on foot or bike. Will give to wife and get an electric unicycle later.
Cool. I haven't had any pairing issues at all. I'm using it for camera movement reasons so I'm in it for a different application. Great for gimbal work and at $600 it's awesome! Heck for the $999 I paid it's awesome.
Bluetooth problem. maybe just on mine. Will see if they could fix it, I purchased a three year warranty since the Segway now so "cheap". Those thing drop in price pretty fast, got my TV for $1,500 and about 6 months later its $800.
Very, very, very important advice - if you try to go over very small vertical elevations you WILL fall off. I'm talking 2".

Just bought a couple of these for $499 each during Amazon's Prime Day sale.
I'm getting really really good on mine. Over 40 miles logged so far, mostly in a very tight mazed furniture store with very tight turns and obstacles. I can thread a needle with mine now. Very easy. I even grocery shop with it. (had to pull the ADA mobility thing already). Those STUPID hover boards really gave everything a BAD reputation. We have a lot of work to do on undoing that with this new Segway.

Anything on the users group on bluetooth remote and pairing. Mine remote doesn't work, only goes in circles, no forward or reverse. Paring is a PIA, tried 5 or more times before it connects.
Not sure. I haven't had any pairing issues at all.
