What I truly admire in this series is how the dialogues are put together. Every line is really well thought out and worthy of remembering, unlike other shows wherein the audience can guess what is going to be said next. Even it is a one liner, TUA makes it something enjoyable, humorous, or dramatic. I LOVE how their lines reflect their personalities like Five: "Imagine Batman, then aim lower."
I totally agree! I thought I'd get sick of the show after the first season but I like the build up of individual character stories and their lines. Definitely an entertaining show and I'm expecting more ☺️

Nopandaforyou okay but he was told that he needed to and he failed his father prior so he went to the moon thinking that there was something that was going to hurt life on earth and was taking notes. But later found out it was just to be sent away so his father wouldn’t have to look at him. I thought that by now victim shaming was a thing of the past but I guess not. 🙄 I assume none of you know it feels to be set aside by your own father. That feeling that he doesn’t love you. It hurts like none other.

thing is, if you read the comic.... you will be EVEN MORE confused. The show is LOOSELY based on the comic with just the key plot points, but the comic itself is a clusterfuck of random events with a (literaly) edgy artstyle that makes some scenes a bit painful to the eyes. I consider this the first adaptation that actualy IMPROVED the material.
I think The Boys definitely improved upon the source material as well.
While I like the comics better than the show, I do agree with you that the comic is just pure chaos and gives me multiple headaches.
the comics are super chaotic but honestly they did five so dirty in the show, five will always be infinitely better in the books

Lemon MODz in the comics it wasn't actually detailed of what happened to the rest(as I can remember), but I think they were presumed as dead. But as the show had a loooot of changes from its original material, you can say that there's a chance that we'll see the others in the next season.

To the point where they were in magazines, had screaming fans, their own action figures and merch, etc. Like maybe they don’t talk about the source of their power/the existence of the other 43 but the fact that the super kids happen to all be born on the same day was public knowledge because that’s why Harold/Leonard with the same birthday thought he could be a part of it too.
I feel like realistically the rest of the world should at least be somewhat aware/cautious of super humans existence but nothing in this show is super realistic anyway so 🤧
Not necessarily true. There's a whole bunch of reasons why Reginald could only acquire 7 and the others don't exist.
1.) They died. The pregnancies were immaculate and occured at a rapid rate. The pregnancy is so abnormal that either the children died or the mother died which killed the child anyways. There's also the matter of spontaneous birth...Vanya was concieved while her mother cannonball'd into a pool. She could have died. Imagine this happening to a woman while driving, or while doing something dangerous.
2.)The children were targeted. Its likely any child that made it. If they showed signs of a power no one thought it was a good thing. They were killed. Even as powerful as Vanya was of Hargreeves wanted her dead she would have been dead. The same could be said of any child ragdolling people with her mind and killing them.
3.) Of the 43 children maybe ONLY a hand full have potential.

1. Yes some of them died as the comic alluded to ‘the ones who survived’ but there definitely should have been more than 7 out of 43. Then they clearly stated that Reginald only managed to track down and get the 7
2. Not quite sure what exactly you were trying to say other than ‘they could’ve been killed’. So yes, a few could have been killed off but the Commission only interferes and eliminate people when absolutely necessary like whenever a crucial timeline is disrupted. Other than that idk who else would be targeting these kids. In the comics there are more supernatural villains but they’re preoccupied with their own mission/end goal and none of them were written to be specifically obsessed with the 43 like Hargreeves or even Harold/Leonard (who didn’t exist in the comics) was
3. It’s less likely that the rest of those kids are just ‘normal’ seeing as it was a possibility up until the point Vanya, the supposed ‘normal one’ was revealed to have powers after all. From then canon and development POV for both comic books and tv series, it simply makes more sense for the rest of the ‘super kids’ to remain out there undiscovered until they’re needed for future plot devices.

The factor of all of them having a big indifference in powers and personality is what makes it so special! Like seriously, No. 1 starts from being the weakest or you can say 'the least calamitic' to No.7 being the strongest/the most destructive. About the personalities, we see Luther being sentimental, Diego being sensitive, Allison being over-confident , Five being selfish, Klaus being negligent and Vanya being emotional to : Luther being hopeful, Diego being bold, Allison being careful, Five being determined, Klaus being understanding and Vanya being resilient. Its so precious!
I doubt number 5 was selfish. Basically his whole reason for doing whatever he did was to protect his family from the apocalypse. My favorite character fr😌

At least, I personally don't think he'd put forth the effort to save everyone if the people he loves weren't affected (like if they were in a different timeline where they'd never live to see the apocalypse). And that just adds another aspect of wonderful moral ambiguity to his character that I love. Makes him really fascinating (and maybe just a little bit selfish since he was raised to be a hero and all).

Isolation is really bad for humans, we are social creatures. Even the most antisocial of us have at least one person we can call a friend, and to be seperated from them for such a long time, in a low gravity environment, looking up and seeing a blue sphere, so close yet so far, that would play hell on your mind.
And Klaus watched the love of his life die, was tourtured for like 2 days, and only did drugs because he didnt like talking to the dead after his dad left him in a tomb full of dead people in the dark and Vanya had been manipulated all her life into thinking she was ordinary and was treated like she was almost nothing because of it. Allison rumored her way through life causing her to divorce her husband and lose custody of her child (Im pretty sure) And Diego...... Im not sure about Diego to be honest

It’s amazing and unique however it is A LOT to take in since each character has the trauma from their past, the struggles of living in between ‘two worlds’ and discovering who they are and what they’re here for. Along with Reginald’s mysterious death I can understand how to some it can seem overwhelming but I think the crew did a phenomenal job at making it run smoothly whilst not being boring or too fast-paced

Nah, Vanya was a load of crazy self pitying crap. She always complained about not being included but
A. She had nothing to offer (more often than not she was a hinderance)
B. Five went to her first saying that he trusted her and wanted her help stopping the apocalypse and she did nothing but call him crazy.
Speedy just because she had nothing to offer doesn’t mean she needed to be ostracized by her family. Because she was manipulated into thinking she was helpless and useless in the first place, she believed she couldn’t help with the situation or felt she wasn’t the person to go to. You need to learn to empathize before you start to irrationally spout hate about her.

I know how to empathize I was treated like I was a horrible liar growing up and my mum used that to make sure I was excluded from a lot of priviledges like birthday celebrations, graduation gifts, etc. and I have a big family so I know what the standard for every other kid was. but a lot of her wounds past the point of leaving the house are self inflicted and yet she blames them for everything going bad. She argues with practically everyone after coming back and so she leaves and stops talking to them. Every time she and Allison talk over the course of the season after her initial fight with her (where Allison was angry and said she's good at excluding herself), Allison was the one who sought her out. She kept shutting people out and was severely cold and cynical. I understand she was hurt but empathy and sympathy should never be used to justify. She cut them out (save diego, he wanted nothing to do with her after the book) again and showed no interest in helping stop the apocalypse and then is mad that they didn't invite her to the meeting. As I said before, she called five crazy repeatedly when he specifically went to her for help.
The pilot is so good. The visual gags are on point lol. And I really appreciate that the characters have smart dialogue. I just wish I could see how the characters work off each other more.

Vanya: Was treated terribly by her dad and most of her siblings, had her powers hidden from her her whole life, was treated like trash by everyone except a few siblings because she was "ordinary" and now has major PTSD.
Klaus: Was a drug addict by age 13 because he has had ghosts tormenting him his whole life, watched the love of his life die right in front of him, survived Vietnam, and also has major PTSD by his dad using him.
Ben: Was said to be the kindest of his siblings, but was also said to have been manipulated by everyone the most, had a power that killed multiple people at once, and was used my Luther and his father for it even though he hated killing people, died a painful death and age 13, and had no choice but to follow Klaus around, being a ghost, for more than a decade, has major PTSD for blood and murder.

The father told Klaus that he wasn't able to show his true potential because of the drugs, but now that at the end Klaus is kinda leaving them, if they make a season 2 I hope they show more if this powers!

From the perspective of someone who's read the comics i can't even imagine how different starting was for someone who's never seen it before lmaoo😭The comics didn't have much fat in them so to speak so everything that happens is pretty stark. I went through that "Wtf" stage a long time ago and now it's just cool nostalgia lol. So from my perspective, it was just so nice to sit back and enjoy it through a medium I actually ended up enjoying more!
