Has anyone determined that lowering Lp(a) decreases negative events? I know it did not when lowered with niacin. I’m hoping it does!

Great presentation. My lp(a) is 10, and LDL is 166. My HDL is 56, and TG is 63. So my total cholesterol TC is 220+.
My doctor wants me to be on Statin because he thinks my cholesterol -LDL and TC is unacceptable. I have some family history of heart issues.
Am I at a high risk and need for Statin?

I believe he would say because your trigs are below 1 (euro) that you are not at risk for small dense ldl or lpa

I was just given the news of Lpa and I’m around 139 nmol, I have very healthy eating and exercise habits. I’m fit and lean..My cholesterol is in in good standing with and HDL of 72, so I was pretty surprised to see these latest results.. I started doing a lot of research and I would suggest watching the video I watched right before this one. It is amazing educational information
      Hope it helps 🙏🏼🙏🏼💜💜

My LPa is 373 Nmol and went on Statins and it raised my LPa to 535 nmols. I went off statins and it bounced back to around the norm, 388 nmol. My overall Cholesterol has always been between 250 to 290, since I was 22 years old. I am 58 now. LDL average around 60, HDL average around 80 is, trigylcerides from 50's to 80's. I am in a trial now an MRNA trial, AMGEN-Olpasiran. So I am very excited to see what happens. phase one lowered the LPa by 90%, I am part of Phase 2. I have had no side effects at all. I am hopeful for the future. I should mention, althought no symptons, I pushed for testing and now have 6 stents, I do have significant blockages that were stented. Another interesting fact is I have no early onset heart disease in my family. My sisters LPa is higher than mine and she has a very low CT Calcium score. All 3 of my children also have high LPa.

Any update to how you are doing today? My Lp(a) is 380 nmol/L, found out from a blood test and I’m getting a CT angiogram after meeting a girl on here that said she was diagnosed with CAD at 32 and she has high LPa. How did you find out that you needed stents?

The risk is the people who are in office and have been. The risk is the cults that are "family knit" ..clans. that's the risk.
