Always been a fan of this style of hair coloring. I don't practice it much as I hardly have OCs with actual hair (most of them if they have hair have fur or gooey gelatin textures for hair), but god it's one of my favorite things to color when I do do it.
I would love to see this in free different apps like ibis paint etc. For a lot of people can't afford art apps that you need to pay or can't get a sketch tablets so I would like to see this in different apps and it's a fun little ideas (if you do your own pens there's codes and you can show us)

Note on your red hair girl: I feel like you did the face in perspective slightly wrong. It feels like the chin area is poking a bit too much outwards, try also with the mouth making a slope more towards the left than sticking out on the right if that makes sense. Also, it’s a bit confusing to figure out if the eyes come before or after the hair, as well as the overall shape of the face feels a bit flat but also strangely protruding, hopefully I’m not vague and /or rude. Otherwise your art style is very original and definitely a very intelligent approach to manga style art that I haven’t seen before. Please correct me if this is just manga art conventions im misinterpreting or if I’m just plain wrong.

I still can't figure out which brushes to use 😭😭😭 I wanna get procreate with an iPad and apple pencil eventually but for now I just use ibispaintx with my phone and the stylus that comes with it 😭 (It does have pressure sensitivity tho, so there's that)
It really comes with experimentation I think! All of our habits/experience levels are different and we all want to achieve different things, brushes are pretty subjective in my opinion. I nearly hated every brush that was recommended to me by others, I found the one I use by just downloading random paint brushes and trying them out. The only thing I can recommend is not using anything too soft for rendering, since it makes it more difficult to define hard edges. But otherwise just make sure it has pressure sensitivity and the rest is up to preference. That’s why there are SO many brushes out there. I wish you luck!! I might make a video on brushes sometime,, it’s quite the topic.
