Skateboarding lost its soul once small wheels and big pants took over . Freaking generic Popsicle sticks represent the whole cookie cutter culture, boring and no style just go big and get that big banger. I love shape and graphics that match their style don't care what people say .
Airik1111 I don’t really think it’s about big pants I think it’s mostly about how people only start skating because they like the idea of being park of the skating community
These wannabes make me queasy trying to recreate the style of an era they weren't part of. Dean you're a pompous asshole therefore your opinion is invalid.
I haven’t really seen anyone with style like this since... ever. I think only Mark Gonzales can be compared. Maybe Natas. Skaters like this don’t come along often. I don’t think there’ll be anyone like this in the next 50 years. Allot of the tricks he does others can’t do because they don’t have the style to fit that trick. It’s like he has a progressed late 80’s vert style, on street (and vert still). Santa Cruz has a true gem with this guy, I hope they realize that. Also I don’t see anyone else riding old school re-issue boards almost exclusively.
If you mean sick like not quite as healthy as on a normal, evenly weighted board, then I agree completely.. Other than the struggle in flip tricks, his style of skating, and tricks are gnarly..
Old Natas graphics, Cab, Hawk and all the bones brigade had sick graphics. And of course vision when they were still a real brand. Just such a sick period for the whole look of skateboarding.
The handplant-fakie over the channel attempts were genuinely-nerve-wracking... Imagine going that fast essentially straight to your head if you miss the plant
If there's another KOTR, Santa Cruz needs to be one of the teams. I mean Winkowski, Braun, Asta, Knox, Guzman, Johnson, Remillard, Gartland, Mccoy, Wooten, Delfino. 😔👌
5:06 that spot looks intimidating, I bet it's gnarlier in person too--5 flat 6, slightly downhill and popping off bricks with a drainage grate 2 ft before popping🤯
Much harder to break but you can def snap em if you skate impact like this kid and don’t land bolts. Still, they are fun. This is what my first board was like circa 1989. Balance is different too. Great for carving transition.
I love this era of skateboards, I hope re revise this board it was like a samurai sword and how part of your soul goes into the sward.........well part of a skaters soul go's into the semi retro board styles. It becomes an extension of the staters body. Ok I'm really high and trippin balls and about to chase it with some DMT so I'm feeling very spiritual. The question is am I wrong though?
Only skateboarding can go back in time but still be progressing.
Mmm, I think Drumn'bass can fit into this category ;)
Keeping it fresh. So much respect for doing your own thing. To many clones in this world. Amazing skater!
There all the same he just has a different board 😂😂😂😂
@@xviiluciferiivx9217 I bet you'd never catch nyjah huston doing these old style tricks or chris joslin

His skating influenced me all over again I went from an 8.0 popsicle to a 9.0 Winkowski shape with Indy 159 60 mm spitfire
And I couldn’t be happier with my skating
I seen those joints they looks nice! I went up from 8.3 to 8.8 Navarette Creature deck & I love it. Hard to skate popsicle shape now
Dude, sounds like what I should do
Back in the day
y we use to ride 7s lol
Bro same here, I went from a 8.25 to a 9.25
Homie rules. Breath of fresh air! Dude can't get enough recognition, hope he gets more shine.
idk how i’ve never seen this dude. new favorite skater. absolutely beast style
Gosh dude is gnarly! His style reminds me of the old school vert and street skaters from the 80's this guys skating stands out from other pro skaters.
I'm glad the 80/90s vibe is back-
Skateboarding was my *life* then
ur drunk if u think that

love the sound of those oldschool soft wheels.
But his aren't soft.
One of my favourite skaters. Dude is amazing, street and transition. 🤘🏼
Man I’ve just always loved the look and graphics on old eighties boards.
Eric is a great kid. Watched him destroy Judkins park in Seattle several times. Just super humble in his ability
To watch a pro skater struggle with a kickflip on flat is oddly satisfying
Even with that speed?
one of the best. so fun to watch

wingedeathnoisewave ... popsickles are gross
Looks like he's actually having fun while he skates. So sick
Old Natas graphics, Cab, Hawk and all the bones brigade had sick graphics. And of course vision when they were still a real brand. Just such a sick period for the whole look of skateboarding.
If erick went back in time he'd be the God of street skating. I have never seen a skate part from the 80s that shows erick's gnarlyness.
The handplant-fakie over the channel attempts were genuinely-nerve-wracking... Imagine going that fast essentially straight to your head if you miss the plant
I have just realized that he's wearing different Sisters Of Mercy shirts in different videos. This makes him even cooler than he already was.
Eric Winkowski surfing the concrete waves looking steezy🤙 Gnarly 🛹
I bet Mike Vallely wants to adopt this dude.
the man is truly amazing

WIN-kowski......kills it! finger-flip ho-ho in the deep end?!?! come on man!! insane
One of the most original skaters out there...

These spots look fun as hell
I love the style old boards create. I sure dont miss those heavy lumps of un Aerodynamic shapes thou.

love the rough cuts!
i was wondering if when there's no bail does it mean that it was first try? do they always start with the first try?
21:13 when the acid kicks in and the whole universe makes sense. Also, sickest part I have ever seen.
