Diagnosed and gone within 3 weeks. Thank you for opening up to a world of people who may see you as an inspiration. Valuable information.
An absolute gift to humanity this lady. Not just as a survivor but a pioneer. Just lost husband to asbestos related cancer 3 weeks ago. From a Chris to Christina your faith ♥️ 🙏 gives me strength to carry on. I'm in Lincoln England. I wish I'd made him have a second opinion. my lifepartner passed away to this cancer at 43. never had cancer in his family, never drinker, smoker he was always fit and healthy.never really sick aither. he fought for almost 4yrs. no chemo, he stopped chemo 6months into treatment it was making him worse and surgery was not an option because of the location of the cancer. he also had stage four it was spread little into his liver. he decided to quit chemo to be able to live even some sort of life and actually enjoy it, treatments didnt really guarantee him longer life,so he said he rather live short life where he is happy and feels okay than a short life just being sick and fighting for his life. miss him dearly.
I'm so sorry for your loss. My prayers are for peace and comfort for you (and all his family and friends) that only God can ever allow one to feel. May He wrap his loving arms around you all until all the hurt and pain is relieved from your hearts. God bless and heal you all. ❤
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm 42 and was diagnosed with it 4 months ago. Like your partner, I'm not eligible for surgery. Mine is "locally advanced". The thought of leaving my husband and son destroys my heart. I did do 9 chemo infusions, but they stopped it bc my tumor isn't shrinking at all. Trying radiation next.
@@theresabrown1272 Thank you for pointing this out. I had a Whipple’s procedure in 2018. It is a massive operation and I was in hospital for 2 months after the surgery. (Fortunately, being in Australia, the procedure and the two month stay in hospital didn’t cost me a dime). I’ve been seeing my oncologist every three months until this year. Now I’ve ‘graduated’ to yearly checkups. It’s very disheartening when there’s an assumption that no one survives pancreatic cancer. I am often asked why I am still alive when I say I’ve had pancreatic cancer! One final point, if you decide to have a Whipple’s procedure, I suggest you check that your surgeon is doing at least 15 procedures a year.
My Beautiful daughter died at 45 of pancreatic cancer. Diagnosed on a Thursday and died in my arms the following Wednesday. She worked up until a few days before diagnosis. I would have taken her place. I loved her more than my life. Well done Chris x

Mary, keep going. You have been lucky to have 85 beautiful years of life, you deserve all the other years you have left. It’s not over until it’s over. Keep going.
Don't let negative people bring you down Chris. There is POWER in positive thinking. I am 72, had three kinds of cancer, bilateral breast, and tongue and neck. I had 6 joint replacements, a hyperparathyroid tumor removal and a double brain aneurysm with stenting and a subsequent blood clot in my femoral vein. I am still alive. It's first because of my loving and merciful God and secondly from keeping a positive attitude. People out there who have had multiple health trials, trust In the Lord and stay positive. My mother died of colon cancer back in the 1980s. I remember her being thrilled that she was losing weight "without even trying." My sister now has stage 4 lung cancer, and did lose some weight before her diagnosis, but her weight is stable now. Best of luck to you!

OMG! You are a warrior and a hero for the cancer community. I have never heard anyone survive more than 1 year. Please keep all of us informed about the latest treatments. You are a shine light for all of us. Thank you and please keep up the good work that you do. Thank you ....we all appreciate what you do!!!!!
Hope is one of the most powerful tools. It aids our faith. Thank you for being the light in the lives of those who need to be reminded. You are a diamond 😊
You are absolutely my inspiration. I have stage 4 neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer for four years. I have the rare slow growing pancreatic cancer that Steve Jobs had. I have been on a chemotherapy holiday for nine months. I go back to Sloan Kettering in December for tests.
06:11 honestly I am so happy for you, you are like the 0.001% that live, but having lost lots of friends and family of cancer(age 30's and 40's), these doctors who say to get your affairs in order when you are stage IV are doing you a favor. People act like it is a choice to die of cancer and just don't choose to die and you don't need to face it and make the transition better for your kids and family. No, I say prepare and set things up as if you are dying, make birthday cards for your kids until they are 30, make out their high school graduation cards, go over sensitive topics with your spouse like them moving on and dating again, etc. Just because you prepare doesn't mean the act of preparation will kill you in that of itself. These doctors see 1,000s of cases of stage IV and they know, they see it, we tend to discount and mock the doctors for being "negative" but when 98% of your stage IV patients do die, then you can't dispute the numbers. Once again Mrs. Parrish I am so happy for you, but the vast majority of people will not have the wonderful outcome you have been blessed with.
Your story is so powerful. Thank you for telling your story. I know how difficult it is to be our own advocate because I was mine as well for breast & thyroid cancer. Here I am 15 years later & healthy due to eating clean, active gardener & cyclists, and mainly surrounding myself with kind interesting positive people.
I am currently a patient at the City of Hope in Georgia ( cancer treatment center of America). I can’t say enough about how great they are. The team approach is awesome.
Wow! You have been very brave to go through all those treatments. You are a survivor. Bravo lady for your strength, courage and perseverance. It’s the reason why you are still alive and I am very happy for your recovery which you owe to you first of all.
What a wonderful lady. My mother died of PC Cancer. She had symptoms for awhile. I lived in another state. I found mom a doctor just too late. God bless you.
Chris, thank you for sharing your positivity and outlook. I don't have pancreatic cancer, but I think your advice can be used for other diagnoses as well. May you continue to be well!
She is a very lucky lady. My mum had various symptoms over several months, backache, heartburn and constipation. She went back and forth to the GP for 8 months. Tests at the hospital did not pick up the cancer, but it was found she had a narrowing of the colon, so required a small operation. It was only when my mum was operated on that things turned bad. My mum's bowel split open, flooding her body with poisons. They found mum has a tumour on her pancreas and it has spread through her bowel and into her liver.. Mum's was put on a machine to keep her alive, which it did, but she never recovered and died 4 months later. She only managed to get home for a couple of weeks but was so ill. she begged to stay at home, but she had to go back into hospital. It was awful. A terrible, terrible time that affected me greatly.,
You are one feisty, strong lady. I love your humour, too, when you talked about going down to Boston to see the 18 year old specialist with her 12 year old assistant. Hope you live to a healthy 100!
My mother in law just got diagnosed with Stage 4 Ca Pancreas. We are all so terribly broken after the diagnosis. The oncologist says she has about 6 months Watching this video has given me the hope I needed to fight this for her. Here’s to hoping for my mother ✨🙏🏻 Thankyou ❤
Don't give up hope. My husband was given 3 months...stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He lived a few weeks short of 5 yrs. I'm grateful for the extra time God gave us. I still believe in miracles. Prayers for your mother in-law.
Try the metabolic therapy professor Thomas Seyfried and nutrition expert Miriam Kalamian they have a lot of videos on-line and good suggestions for complementary additions to the standard of care.
City of Hope (Duarte) saved my husband ten years ago. Love the doctors and staff, and volunteers there. God bless those in treatment. Thank you for sharing your story.
My coworker, a healthy 60-something year old wonderful guy, lived two years after pancreatic cancer diagnosis. He was always very health conscious and didn’t some or drink. Heartbreaking. He loved his grandkids, who I am sure they miss him terribly.
Wow,what an amazing story and recovery.I lost my beloved husband almost 5 years ago to this terrible disease. He had no symptoms until the middle of September and because of severe pain in his rib cage, went to the doctor and the CT scan showed a large tumor on his pancreas,9 lesions on his liver and another one on his rib cage.We very quickly got into an oncologist, who said there was nothing they could do but send him home on Hospice. That’s what he did and he was gone on October 20.I’m so glad you had good results and can still enjoy your life.
Move on is the best move. I stayed 10 years with a doctor who neglected me nearly unto death. I wish she had been honest and had told me she rather I got someone else.
My sister was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Oct., 2021, a couple of rounds of chemo nearly killed her. She had to go to a rehabilitation center just to be able to be well enough to go home to hospice care and die one year later. Incredible survivor story. Hope this regimen will give others some hope.
Amazing story! I remember my Uncle Pete got pancreatic cancer, I wish he had gotten the treatment you got. He was such an active guy and it took him so fast. I remember him saying I don't want to die..... Yet they offered him no treatment
Stage four metastatic breast cancer here, and my wonderful doctor says to me, ” you’re the boss.” Finding the right doctor and treatment center is key.
God bless you. Everyone reading this if your gut is telling you something is wrong get help. In 2015 I felt bad know energy I went to my doctor I told him I have cancer he laughed at me. I got up wanted out went to a new Doctor he told me my blood work looks great. I Started boiling in side I was fighting for my life. I Told the new Doctor that I have cancer.I had to make hime do the test before I left the office I told him to listen to your patients. I told him uour going to call me and tell me I have cancer no im not two weeks after the tests he called my cell Mister morris I have bad news and good news for you me lets start with the good. You saved your life I do not belive in God. I asked what the bad you have thyroid cancer it was a long fight I am 100 percent cancer free god bless you all.
This really scares me. I've been fighting the same issues. My doctors all seem so puzzled. My pancreas is hurting so bad RIGHT NOW that I can't sit up in a chair. I pray you continue to be ok. God bless you.
@dandelions2414 I've been in the hospital already 6 times this year. They found biliary stones twice, got them out. I now have non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, I have never been a drinker. I am now considered a type 1 diabetic because pancreas is basically non-functioning.
@jeannedennis5863 My sister was diagnosed with this. In October 2023 started a diet of no red meat, no sugar, exercise, lost 45 pounds. Went to liver Dr about 3 weeks ago & no longer has fatty liver disease. Also ha
You are a true warrior, Chris!!! It will be 3 years on 12/31/24 that I had the Whipple for Adenocarcinoma on the head of my pancreas! Like you, I was not going to let that beast take me out!!!! 🙏🏻💜🙏🏻💜🙏🏻💜
My mom survived stage 4 pancreatic cancer 19+ years ago. Treated at Cleveland Clinic. Whiple procedure, chemotherapy and radiation for 5-6 months. Macrobiotic diet. Did fantastic until she fell iin the kitchen and had a stroke. From a brain bleed.
Congrats Lady. That is a long time to be Cancer free from pancreatic cancer. My husband had pancreatic Cancer, and had to have Whipple Surgery. He's been Cancer Free for about 2 years now. Wow, this is an amazing story. Im sure it will give others some hope. Doctors are so quick to write people off. Good for you, attitude makes all the difference.
You are an angel 😇 thank you for this inspiring testimony. Stomach cancer stage 4 here, diagnosed March and many doctors have been such grey little clouds. Thankfully I found a great doctor team at the Mayo Clinic and they gave me hope and the best treatment options. Here is to hope and faith, one day at a time and doing the work. 🙏🍀☺️
Thank you for sharing your story. Glad you got a 2nd opinion and advocated for yourself. More people need to learn to be MORE assertive and advocate for their own health. Demand tests (even if your MD doesn't think you need "that" test). Doctors don't always KNOW it all. Doctors DO miss cancer symptoms. For women, some doctors attribute cancer symptoms to anxiety or stress. Do YOUR due diligence. Challenge your MD. Ask lots of questions. Always get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. Patients do NOT need to stay with the 1st MD they see. Patients MUST BE their own healthcare advocate. You are YOUR own BEST friend.
12 yr breast cancer survivor. Always fearful of it returning - like pancreatic. But you give me hope that one can survive this! Thanks for doing this video ❤
This is amazing!! My father was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in 2006. They gave him 6 months but he passed within a couple of weeks. In retrospect I suspect it was caused by undiagnosed/untreated celiac disease.
I'm so so sorry you had such a terrible experience initially. It's incredible how you stayed strong and fiercely advocated for yourself throughout. You're amazing!! ❤
Wow! That is awesome!! I lost 4 family members to pancreatic cancer. Including my mom, who never smoked, drank or ate processed food. Anyone can get it and at any age! God Bless! ❤
Bless your heart! Thank you so much for sharing your story. No body looses this much weight unless something like a cancer is going on! I truly wonder about some physicians and wonder if they even have common sense! To make a long story short, in my ongoing case, since August 2023, out of the blue I started getting skin lesions with serious skin infections and it’s ongoing as I’m typing this! I’ve lost 20 pounds, on and off joint pain and recently nausea and my fatigue is insane. They say my pancreas is fine and all my leukemia tests (labs, flow CYTOMETRY, Lipase) are all normal. No one knows what is wrong with me!
I’m so glad to hear you’re doing well. It's truly important to be your advocate when it comes to your health. It’s really disheartening to see how healthcare can sometimes fall short in providing the care patients deserve. I’m reminded of a dear friend who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. It’s heartbreaking to think that his symptoms were overlooked, especially during such a challenging time like the COVID-19 pandemic. Please take care and always prioritize your well-being.
Bloody hell! - you’re amazing! - I’ve saved your vid for your example and straightforwardness, practicality and acceptance - you’re a seriously amazing example - I can’t imagine how dreadful you felt - as gruesome and perhaps insensitive as it may sound, I’d really like to understand more about the creeping signs, and the actually experience of each stage and treatment that you re wives. I have had friends die of a “sudden” diagnosis of lung cancer and did all of this sort of thing - so I really want to hear more about how you “spoke” to your condition/ diagnosis - ie, did it “not exist” aggressively as an attitude, or what … not the philosophies, or concepts, but the moments of change, attitude, nittty-gritty. Thank you so much for sharing- you’re the first person I’ve heard over many years that speaks straight about your experience. So appreciated! Congratulations on your incredible resilience!! 16 years!! - absolutely a testament to your incredible attitude, residence and character. Very few people “cut through” the BS or hope against hope people who don’t actually believe - you offer solid example of belief rather than hope. Thank you xxx
Thankyou for sharing your story Chris. I shared it with my mom with the goal of also sharing your motivation and positive outlook along with your not accepting their 6 month life term. F that!!! Self advocacy is power 🫶🏻 Wishing you a long healthy and beautiful life

It was such a hard, tough and painful journey for her and us family. My mom stayed brave as best as she could until the very end. Miss my mom so much every day still and always. 💜

So happy for you! I lost my mom to stage 4 pancreatic cancer after she had been complaining to her PCP for almost a year. I lost my dad to colon cancer and my in laws to esophageal cancer and brain tumor. My husband and I follow Mediterranean diet since I am Italian I have always cooked that way. God Bless!
The truth is doctors and Cancer Care are very uneven in quality. And most people can't afford to travel to the place where they can get the best care. God bless this woman in for her strength and for sharing her story how extraordinary. I pray our medical system will change where people are put above profit.
there are so many resources out there to help patients travel to receive care. patients should ask their case workers and do lots of google research to find those resources :)

My mother died of colon cancer back in the 1980s. I remember her being thrilled that she was losing weight "without even trying." My sister now has stage 4 lung cancer, and did lose some weight before her diagnosis, but her weight is stable now. Best of luck to you!
oh wow. so sorry to hear that. if you're sister ever feels compelled to share her story please have her visit our website. we would love to speak with her!
Aww how sad. Very sorry for you
Best of luck your sis!
🙏🙏🙏
Praise God you found the right treatment facility. I'm so glad you are in remission. ❤
Parrish I am so happy for you, but the vast majority of people will not have the wonderful outcome you have been blessed with.
you have valid points. thank you for sharing!
Praying for a healing for everyone.
I am currently a patient at the City of Hope in Georgia ( cancer treatment center of America). I can’t say enough about how great they are. The team approach is awesome.
we wish you the very best as you undergo treatment!
Wow! You have been very brave to go through all those treatments. You are a survivor. Bravo lady for your strength, courage and perseverance. It’s the reason why you are still alive and I am very happy for your recovery which you owe to you first of all.
You are the most extraordinary warrior I've ever encountered! I'm so happy for you, so glad you're here, helping everyone who listens.
What a wonderful lady. My mother died of PC Cancer. She had symptoms for awhile. I lived in another state. I found mom a doctor just too late. God bless you.
Thank you for sharing. My son has stage 3 so you are a beacon of hope for us. Best of health to you always! ❤

A terrible, terrible time that affected me greatly.,
I’m so sorry your mom suffered. It must have been terribly difficult to watch.
I’m so very sorry, sending prayers&love…(I lost my husband 13 months ago to Lung Cancer and Pulmonary Fibrosis) ♥️🇨🇦
we are so sorry to hear about your mum :(
Oh, I am so sorry to read your poor mama's story. I want to give you a big hug.
I'm so sorry! You WILL see your Mom again one day. Live your live in honor of her, as a mother I can tell you that's what your mama would want!
You are one feisty, strong lady. I love your humour, too, when you talked about going down to Boston to see the 18 year old specialist with her 12 year old assistant. Hope you live to a healthy 100!
I lost my mother to pancreatic cancer. You are amazing. Usually that cancer wins and people die.

My mother in law just got diagnosed with Stage 4 Ca Pancreas. We are all so terribly broken after the diagnosis. The oncologist says she has about 6 months
Watching this video has given me the hope I needed to fight this for her. Here’s to hoping for my mother ✨🙏🏻
Thankyou ❤
Hope she gets better

You’re amazing and blessed. I lost my uncle (Mum’s only brother) to this cancer. Keep fighting ❤
I have a new hero to look up to, today! Cristina Parrish, you are awesome!
Love to you xx
Move on is the best move. I stayed 10 years with a doctor who neglected me nearly unto death. I wish she had been honest and had told me she rather I got someone else.
This is so true & I can resonate & agree w) your sentiments & advice as well! ❤
so sorry you had that experience!
I have always said you as the patient .. are the “ boss’’.. so fight for you Life..
You are absolutely amazing.
Stage four metastatic breast cancer here, and my wonderful doctor says to me, ” you’re the boss.” Finding the right doctor and treatment center is key.
I called that same Cancer center when I had cancer, I had also seen the commercials.... They told me they didn't accept my insurance and hung up.
I'm so happy for you. Thanks for sharing
God bless you. Everyone reading this if your gut is telling you something is wrong get help. In 2015 I felt bad know energy I went to my doctor I told him I have cancer he laughed at me. You saved your life I do not belive in God. I asked what the bad you have thyroid cancer it was a long fight I am 100 percent cancer free god bless you all.
you saved your own life. good for you for self-advocating!
Your story is a lesson to us all!
This really scares me. I've been fighting the same issues. My doctors all seem so puzzled. My pancreas is hurting so bad RIGHT NOW that I can't sit up in a chair. I pray you continue to be ok. God bless you.
🙏🏼
Mine is hurting too. Did they run any tests?
@dandelions2414 I've been in the hospital already 6 times this year. They found biliary stones twice, got them out. I now have non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, I have never been a drinker. I am now considered a type 1 diabetic because pancreas is basically non-functioning.
@jeannedennis5863 My sister was diagnosed with this. In October 2023 started a diet of no red meat, no sugar, exercise, lost 45 pounds. Went to liver Dr about 3 weeks ago & no longer has fatty liver disease. Also ha
I am so sorry. Make the doctor do the proper testing! Go to the ER if you have to.
You are a true warrior, Chris!!! It will be 3 years on 12/31/24 that I had the Whipple for Adenocarcinoma on the head of my pancreas! Like you, I was not going to let that beast take me out!!!! 🙏🏻💜🙏🏻💜🙏🏻💜

Yes he did.

Wonderful testimony! I wish you many years of good health ❤

Thanks for doing this video ❤
there is always hope!
What you said in this video is so true. You gave it your all. Thank you so much.
No one knows what is wrong with me!
we are so sorry for your loss!
It tends to run in families. Get yourself checked frequently.
I hope you can sort this out soon! Keep pushing for scans, if you haven't already had them, pancreas, liver etc. Best wishes@@katinabotten

What a very brave person, your partner. I've always said I'd would rather live the life I have left than go through any of that "treatment"
Amazing story! Not the usual outcome. Good for you and thank you for sharing this message of hope for those who are battling cancer. Never give up.

I lost my dad to colon cancer and my in laws to esophageal cancer and brain tumor. My husband and I follow Mediterranean diet since I am Italian I have always cooked that way. God Bless!
Losing weight combined with tummy troubles is a huge red flag.
