  • "Qizil gülüm" is a traditional Uyghur Lop Nur song, sung in Lop (Lopnur/Lobnor) dialect. Sometimes Lopnur dialect is considered not a dialect but a language, although it's still disputed amonf linguists. Features of Lobnor are consistent vowel harmony and progressive consonant assimilation, which influence the implementation of suffixes, merger of genitive and accusative cases.
I don't actually know if the song has anything to do with the ancient Uyghur states like the 3rd Uyghur khaganate or Qocho but the tune of the song lacks any middle eastern/Persian/Arabic influence and sounds more pure? I think it's more like a mix of real Turkic music and some Chinese music. Though, I'm not a professional musician or historian, it's just my thoughts.
