Republicans are falling for the old trick of voting for hate when they need to vote for change in a positive way, green energy job are the future, a national health care system, guns need to go, paid leave, and better working conditions and contracts, a slightly smaller military budget so that you can repair your neglected infrastructure, wipe out student debt or at least a high percentage of said debt, but instead trumplings go after the vulnerable in society and choose hate instead of prosperity for all.

The saddest thing is that I fully expect he's going to tell his hateful audience something to the effect of, "I know you're right that kids need a mother and a father", apologize for not being able to provide that, and then just never mention his kids again. He's definitely not going to stick up for LGBT parents. For his kids' sake, I genuinely hope he ends up being a good dad, but he's still going to be bad for broader LGBT rights.

Please recall that morality is always in flux. The Torah promotes slavery, wife-beating, and lots of immoral ideas. The New Testament (excluding Jesus' words) reminds people that they have sinned by existing at all, racism is necessary, and other immoral ideas. Do most churches still teach those concepts? No. Morality is in flux and tends to work independently of reactionaries and conservatives. Only after morals are updated do the dogmatic clergy reconsider their previous "morals." If you disagree, then perhaps you should read those texts yourself.

I have noticed that all too often conservatives practice the exact opposite of what they preach. Actually,it is important that a child has both a father and mother. Ask someone who grew up with a single mom and/or Dad or someone with divorced parents and they will confirm this. Having two parents of the same sex is not the same and cannot replace the unique roles of two parents of the opposite sex.

As someone who is family planning with my same-sex spouse and someone who hates Dave Rubin, I can’t help feel deeply saddened by the response he’s received by people he wrongfully trusted to support him.
Yeah. He's got horrible politics but always came across as really dumb amd naive, a 'useful idiot' moreso than a sharp-witted grifter. It just hurts to see anyone else LGBT receive comments like this and I totally get it.

I’m 33 and I found out about gay people when I was really young. My moms friend was a lesbian and she was really nice. It was explained to me young some people liked people of their same sex. I never thought it was weird or different. It’s just something people do
I told my friend's kids today that I used to be a boy, but now I'm a girl. I hope this helps them realize that trans people are normal too.

As a child who was abused by their mother, it happens more than you might think. I wish the best for Dave and his partner and his new family, how well they do will depend on the personalities of their parents. I do not hold out a lot of hope for the two sell outs, but I still hope for the best for the children. Only time will tell.
I have two friends whose mothers were abusive and one whose father also abandoned them.

These people have no idea how many abusive/neglectful mothers there are in the real world. I've seen things. I've taken in kids who's drug-addicted mother's kicked them out on the streets as teens and I've seen the same teens turn around and have kids while homeless believing the child will support them, not the other way around.
This is honestly great in the sense that it demolishes Dave Rubin's persona and grift to show that once he crossed that line of wanting to be treated like a human, his audience's true colors came out. But more importantly, Dave should be happy and proud that he is able to take care of two kids. I know heterosexual couples that struggle to simply have one child. It's simply astonishing that such a good moment in a couples lives could be overshadowed by the fact that they are gay

As someone who lost their mom at a young age I get mad at people who bash households that are run by a single dad or two dads. Dads are parents and I wish the kids the best of luck in the Rubin household hopefully this will make them decide not to push harmful ideology.
