Really cool. I am trying to think of something I would use this for, or why I would use it... Maybe you have some suggestions @techheart? I'm kinda drawing blanks, despite what you read out on the video.
For me, it shows the use case for jQuery as a backend - not that I know how to use it, HOWEVER, you can 'code' a puter.com app to query GPT 3.5 super easily using their html frontend; if I stated that correctly. Checkout puter.js and that shows how easily you can query the backend with just a few lines of html.
Great thoughts - yea... if you had a thin client and just needed WWW and a few applications, right... I feel the project is more about what they can do w/ jQuery and HTML - but it can have some good use cases. Thanks for being here Cryptic!!
Hmmmm - I don't fully agree, but understand what you mean - like the applications that are available. I think it's like Android; and a cool project - can't believe it's all HTML that makes the whole OS tick - wow!! Thanks for being here, Nooter!
Thanks dude - I'm making more right now, and hope you'll checkout the rest of the channel!! I love Linux and hope to keep covering cool current nix topics. Lemme know if you wanna see anything!! Join our Discord if you like... I post all new videos there, too.
What links do you need??? Discord is in video description... I'm working on getting better; just lemme know what you need! puter.com is the 'OS' I reviewed...
Well - LOL... I use a decent mic for recording, but the video capture of puter.com was thru a Thinkpad laptop - cmon dude, we're retro around here... that T480 is the most horsepower I got. :P sheesh... join the Discord, jshi!!
I like the way you introduce products 😂
Thanks a ton; I'm a tryin... need to get my mic settings a bit better tho!! Glad you viewed; we're almost @ 1000 subs!

this is pretty cold but it gives me windows 93 vibes
I just found it interesting because of how's it's coded - wow. Fun for a play around.
Wonderful project!! I think the cam video popping out is firefox feature.
Its a fun one... not mine, but I enjoyed playing around with it for a bit!
if you have a server PC and a Chromebook it could be nice for some stuff

I was looking into it and with a few tweaks you could use this as an open source GitHub code spaces frontend instead of regular vscode.
This has a windows 93 vibe

Visually it's more like Windows 8+. Windows 95 to 2000 had more detailed GUIs.
@@techheart6090 I just realized if you reverse the domain name you get com puter!
@@techheart6090 the concept isn't really new, Palm had webOS and Mozilla tried making FirefoxOS
I hope this will not force putin's ideology
Time will tell!
Or the rise of president Computin, an even worse competitor!
I liked your review, so I've subscribed your channel. I hope you keep making videos, you look like a decent guy.

@@techheart6090 Yeah, plz add the links towards the thing you talk about, in this case the puter.
Yavascript and Yay Quyeyrry... bruh
Laptop mic in an echoy room for recording videos? Ok back then maybe, but quite annoying in 2024..
did anyone ask for your opinion?
