And Eddie Van Halen‘s own words, he claims he did not invent tapping or even name it. He just used it and incorporated in his playing. He also said that he was one of the first cats to integrate into his music, using harmonics and tapping in a musical kind of way and not just as a technique that was thrown in there… RIP, Eddie… Sorely missed, but never forgotten… He lives on, and the music that he inspired me to play every day… Anyway, keep on rocking

You knuckleheads are taking this out of context. No one was playing like eddie before eddie. I'm aware of hackett, lifeson and larry carlton, but no one had a LANGUAGE like edward.
You wont find it. It doesnt exist. What don is saying is basically correct, even though he's a narcissistic idiot himself. Eddie was speaking with his instrument, and everyone else was masturbating notes.

0:30 Don is waay off..... Randy Rhoads " farewell shows " with Quiet Riot. at the Starwood
and the flyer said " Van Halen Quiet Riot Dokken " ???? nope. ... ...not even close....
Randys last 2 shows with Quiet Riot were, basically .... OCT 1979 , Starwood..
..then Randy went to England , recorded BLIZZARD with OzzY in Early 1980..
Randy came BACK to California in May, 1980,...,for a break before OzzY Tour
RR reunited and .Played Starwood with Quiet Riot for 2 "final final " shows, MAY 29- 30 , 1980 DOKKEN opened...
..in Oct 1979, Van Halen was finishing up their 2nd world tour and had 2 Platinum albums ,,
by May, 1980, Van Halen just Released their 3rd Platinum album, "Women and Children First"
and were already 2 months into their 3rd world tour, ..on May 29- - 30, 1980, Van Halen Played Hamburg Germany
VH was nowhere near playing back in Hollywood with Quiet Riot And Dokken at the damn starwood in oct 79 or May 80
the only real time EVH and RR were on the same Bill was Glendale College. Saturday April 23, 1977.
3 months later in August Van Halen went to record Van Halen !
    RR RIP EVH

I wasn't there but Van Halen didn't play at the Starwood for Randy's last 2 shows with Quiet Riot. VH had did 2 world tours by then & didn't play clubs anymore. He's probably confused. And we all know QR & VH only ever played one gig together & that was in Glendale. So I would love to see this flier he mentioned. I'm sure Dokken played with QR but not VH.

exactly, there were several timeline gaffes in this. they'd have to play 3 shows on that tour to be in front of 120,000 people. or 5 in Miami that was famously 27,000 people..

Don can’t keep track of his lies even in the same conversation. He had a 72 Van his guitar was always on Hock. Then next sentence is literally I had a 57 chevy Nomad back then. What a clown enough of this wannabe Legend. George Lynch was why people went to see Dokken.

Also, Dokken is either delusional or lying about several things in this. Eddie didn't invent 2 hands on the neck. Steve Hacket was doing it in the early 70's, You can see here on u tube Ace Frehley doing it but using a pick in 1974 & Eddie said he never said he invented it & the monsters tour was in 88, Wolf was born till 91, so wtf is he talking about? Not done watching yet so I may comment again.
