I attempted my PTE exam today (16-12-2022). I received 87 overall having 90 for speaking, 89 for Writing, 88 for listening and 83 for Reading. I've been following all the recent videos you posted and tried my maximum to avoid using shortcuts such as single line strategy in read-aloud, speaking irrelevant content in describe image, writing additional words in write from dictation etc. In my previous attempt, I missed the 79+ goal just because of missing to type the last few words of the very last question (WFD) because it got timed out. This time I got four long sentences to complete for WFD within five minutes and I took down notes of the first half of the sentences and typed the latter half in the text area itself in order to reduce the waste of time in writing every word on the erasable notepad. I made sure that I don't miss any words or spellings in WFD to get through the writing and listening modules (which never gave me over 79 in earlier attempts) easily. I followed strategies given by Alex in recent videos and all of them helped me out immensely. I couldn't have done it without your guidance. Thanks.

Hello dream english i took class from another place and they told me you can add extra words as much as you can and I gave exam lots of time and got very low score in both of them because put a lot extra words is this 100 percent sure we can't use extra words please replay fast my next exam is soon please help me thanks
But they have mentioned that only 3 tasks have negative marking and it doesn't include WFD

I put a lot of effort on this question because it is too risky to play around with such a high scoring question. Focus, take notes, type the answer asap without any errors. that's the best advice.When you rely on unreliable strategies and if in case Pearson's AI tool is upgraded, your hard earned money is gone.

Adding the extra words is what lowered your writing so much. Also are you using an essay frmsye thdt you got online? That can be another issue for Writing.

Feel free to add extra words, and let us know after your exam how it wemt... (especially if you need 79+)
Adding extra words works. Might not work on the app you're using in the video, but definitely works in real exam

So what happens if I add one or two words?
For example:
" I love to read books"
But I am not sure about the last work was plural or singular
So added just one extra word.
"I love to read book books"

It won't be counted as it'd be broke?
e.g.
As the audio
"The course covers architecture planning and construction on the international scale."
But I wrote this
"The course covers architecture planning on the international scale"

what if we follow the sequence and write whatever we hear then just put a few words before a complete stop?
It will affect your score by about -2% (because the word connected to the full stop will be counted incorrect), AND you will not be getting extra marks for the extra words added since they're NOT in the right spot in the sentence. Hope this helps
why are you the only teacher saying that? it should’ve been known as a PTE updates at least!!
Unfortunately people don't want to hear about hard work and practice, 'easy tricks' get kroe views, and everyone just repeats the same thing on their channels

Yes it matters!
What’s the role of full stop in dictation
If you miss it, the last word in the sentence attached to it will be counted as a mistake
Did you do experiment on pte exam ?

The last word in the sentence will be counted wrong (the one attached to the period)
Punctuation marks are not counted. So you won't lose any marks if you miss full stop.
Sir,for the first thanks for this helpful video. I wanted ask one thing about WFD.If I forgot 1 part or I just remember 2 words from beginning and 2,3 from the ending of sentence. If I wrote them correct will I have marks from this words?
Not for the 2nd part, unless words fall in sequence

Avoid adding anything extra. If you missed something, try to replace and maintain sequence
In repeat sentence the lengthy sentence is so tuff for me ...what I want to do? Any one please suggestion me
There's usually no more than 2 out of 10-12 which are long. So do your best, and at least maintain your fluency the whole duration
