This was my problem, and fix. Annoying problem on a brand new transmission but easy to remedy.

Well one thing I noticed is that the transmission you have doesnt have a shifter installed....How does a transmission get bumped out of synchronization with the shifter installed?
One thing Ill recommend is everyone taking their shifter out and greasing the shift dogs and the end of the shifter rod that fits between the dogs and grease the springs that controls left and right motion as the double springs bind up being inside one another and the grease helps tons.....
Doing this process will make the pesky shifting problems non-existent until you actually experience clutch or slave cylinder issues down the road...

I have a Cobra replica with a TKO600. I adjusted the clutch slave as I was getting slipping in high gears. Got back home after testing. Gear changes ok until I got home and now stuck in 1st gear as I tried to select reverse. Looks like this has happened as you have explained. Hope to access top of TKO through a hatch in tunnel. If when fixed then why is the clutch the possible problem. Many thanks. Ian.

That's what we would try first. If that doesn't fix it, it's not the clutch. You'll need to pull the transmission and take it to a transmission shop to inspect.

I've done this twice on my TKO-600. I have to pull it out of my Mustang each time. Is there a replacement spring or kit I should be installing so that I don't get stranded in traffic anymore or have to do this repair over and over?
Thank you for posting his video.

We recommend checking your bellhousing runout and clutch disengagement. It would take some extreme jostling to cause this problem repeatedly. It's possible the clutch could cause this if it's not disengaging correctly.

You should check the transmission as soon as you take it out of the box, not after it's already in the car. If it was working fine and now it's not, call the TREMEC distributor you purchased your transmission from and ask for tech support, it's possible you have a different issue altogether.

Silver Sport Transmissions - don’t counsel me. Just answer my question. I bought it directly from SST.

@@jaivette not counseling you, just answering your question. The simple answer is no. You cannot do this with the transmission in the car or by rocking the car back and forth.
