Changing My Reading Focus - Limit Epic Fantasy

I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I think I need to change the focus of my reading. Unfortunately I appear to be in an Epic Fantasy reading slump.

I definitely go through phases with what kinds of books I gravitate towards. Makes sense to move those that aren’t calling to you out of your direct line of sight.

I think it makes sense to move the books you feel uncomfortable about reading to another place. The next step will probably be unhauling a few of them but it is a good first step 👍

I'm figuring out the exact same thing. I've been disappointed by epic fantasy, or I postponed reading them. They are in the spare bedroom, not on my reading shelves. I donated a bunch of contemporary romance I know I'll never read, and I do not miss them.

I did the same with contemporary romance decades ago as well. It’s weird that my reading is changing so much that I need to move the books but I think this will be good for me! Thanks!

Can you update us on how your exercising routine is going? I wont be walking outside until November. It's still 110 degrees (today) and finally down to 102 by the weekend, but still too hot, even at night.

Thanks for asking! I forgot to update on my weekend update but I’m still walking on the treadmill 3x a week. Still on track! And that it way to hot to walk in! 🥵
