Kate gets fine like wine babyyyyy ❤❤❤ I had her and Carmens picture in my locker during high school where I attended a Catholic school and let me tell you my teacher was not a fan😅😅 THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.
It's so good to see Kate being so openly gay! At least for me, cause back then when I was a baby lesbian watching the L word I was always wondering if she was gay or not, and to have it confirmed" now is such a relief 😅. Cause I kept thinking "she gotta be gay, right? My gaydar is not broken, right???" And I couldn't find the information anywhere. I don't exactly know when she came out publicly but I only found out when Pants started and my teenage self was (and still is) sooooo hyped for finally having the answer. Anyway, happy Pride everyone!!!
I don’t want this to be a downer of a comment, but hear me out. I lost my mum a week ago today, we’ve been together my entire life, 44 years. She was my best friend. I keep trying to watch tv to get some normalcy, but everything feels so noisy and it’s hard for me to concentrate on much. This episode was the first thing I’ve watched that brought me comfort, made me laugh, made everything feel just a little bit normal again. So please don’t ever think you guys are being boring or the things you say aren’t important or interesting. Because you might just be that little life line on a dark day for many people out there. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being something a little familiar and calm.
Late in lifer here - the description of it being “misplaced” is such a perfect description for it. To Kate’s point, it’s very possible to not hear even a whisper because the whisper is so misplaced.
You ladies are one of the best parts of my Wednesday. My wife and I play the “lesbian or nah game” where we people watch and decided if someone is lesbian or not. It’s our favorite thing to do when out on a date or even just running errands. So much fun!
Dude. This episode me feel better about myself. I used to start my night at 10 and now I'm happy to get a full 8 hours of sleep. 23 year old me would not understand the person I became.
Nice to see that you filled the space in the corner. The set looks awesome. Just wanted to say that as a trans boy in the 2000s The L Word formed my opinion on gay stuff, Max was the only representation we had and Kate's character was also kind of challenging gender norms. And I gotta say there hasn't been a show quite like that since then. Also Leisha and Kate in my opinion you were comedy gold on that show.
I really love this podcast. The L Word was a great part of my youth, I am a big fan of both of you. Nowadays I try to improve my English listening to you guys. Sometimes I need to listen more than once to get what you're saying, sometimes I can't understand everything or every single word, but I'm learning and having fun at the same time, a lot! ❤ I felt represented when Kate's wife said Massachusetts, because I'm from Brazil too. 😂❤
Only male I ever loved and let live with me was my fur babie Wendel. Unfortunately i lost him and my other fur babie not too far apart. They got me through covid, its like they waited to go so i didnt have to be alone through the whole thing ❤ and you guys and the podcast!! 2 human and 2 pups listening to pants every week! Something to look forward to so thank you pants, from Paws.❤

The pet brush vacuum has been around for a while and is good. Maybe Kate was talking about Sophia Bush being gay since they just did the Wayne's World reading with her. Sophia has a hot gf. Loved this episode❤
We call our neighbor men when we need something heavy moved. But it would be great to have a plug in Alan! Also, I felt that bluehair comment. Just turned 61😂

Hey ladies, I just stumbled onto your podcast on youtube. Kate, just wanted to tell you something my dear departed Uncle once told me. You can't call someone an asshole. An asshole is useful. It was put there for a reason. If we didn't have assholes we ALL would be in trouble. Going to have to call people you dislike something else. Love you ladies. Going to start and go watch the other podcast you have . Warmest regards Kim A, A very proud Canadian Butch !

Hi Pants! Oh I totally know what and who Kate is talking about. As a local of the Coachella Valley, and someone who goes to Palm Springs often, we see a lot of those ignorant signs/people. While it's more dated and not as gay women centric, you might want to move on to the 2 OG 'QUEER AS FOLK' series. The UK one is shorter, and very good if you're an anglophile. The North American one is, I believe Canadian, but with a lot of US actors. (Anne Meara for one, as the mother of one of the principal characters is bar setting for early alliance and pride in her gay son. The whole show also represents community very well in the same way that the OG 'L WORD' does.)
@@Taurus_Butterflyin my secondary viewing of the whole series my biggest takeaway, and the reason I still hold the series in high esteem, is the representation of COMMUNITY that can be found, regardless of where you start from. Now it is much more commonplace to see our community, and the places we frequent in the actual light of day, but at that time the show and its locales gave hope to myself and I'm sure many others that there WAS a place to go where you would be seen and celebrated. @@Taurus_Butterfly i totally get what you mean I’m so emotionally attached to this show cuz it shows lesbian friendships and relationships in a way I still haven’t seen in the currents eras TV shows. Plus no one is as attractive as Kate playing Shane 💀😭
"Who the f&%$ wants a man in their house?" Kate, this is the best statement I have heard all month...happy PRIDE.
I think all of us had the gaydar tingling the moment we saw Kate as Shane "that's not just acting!" 😅 We had the feeling and boy were we right
and Cara Delevingne
It was Jenny for me 🫣 …and the kiss with Marina sealed it 🤭
I agree with you Kates voice did it for me
I came out as gay at 68. Really had no idea about my sexuality. All my children said they'd known for years
❤
Right on!!! See, never too late!! That comment pulled on my heart strings huge 😊
❤
I've never related to anyone as much as to Kate talking about men
Love the " he was wearing these hideous sandals" line.
Reminds me so much of Chappell Roan's "he was wearing these fugly jeans!!!"
Kate gets fine like wine babyyyyy ❤❤❤ I had her and Carmens picture in my locker during high school where I attended a Catholic school and let me tell you my teacher was not a fan😅😅 THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.
Not the cliff hanger 😆
"If the world was run by Queer people, the world would be a better place." FANATASTIC LINE!!
It’s Sophia bush I clocked her too. Was waiting for the day. Let’s go!
It’s absolutely Sophia Bush! My gaydar picked that up round 2003.
24:58 actually had me ROLLING “I wouldn’t” haaaa
