Well the binder is worth $5 on its own, so figure $15 for the cards and you have a great buy, even if there is alot of junk era cards, they are still great cards. I like the random worn 81 topps Phillies card in there. Once again great stuff.
I agree him and Ricky Henderson were kings in my book when I was a kid and still collecting them today I have books upon book of Griffey cards and now that the new stuff puts legends in the sets it keeps me chasing more every year. Especially prizm lol with all the colors.

When I was a kid I had a collection, I thought it was worth $500; eventually sold for $100. I was lucky to get it. You got a good deal for $20. I don't collect much junk wax, the Donruss Canseco RC is scarce in centered condition; I bought until I got a 10 w/ 10 auto.

The circular King B card was in the amazing, cans of ground up beef jerky. Used to pack it like chewing tobacco with my candy cigs rolled up in white tee shirt haha

I can't believe you skipped right over that 1982 Donruss Yogi Berra without mentioning it's awesomeness. If I recall, the back of that card is just blank space on about 1/2 to 2/3rds of it.
I had 1100, 1200 cards just of Nolan Ryan (including duplicates). I was 11 when I started collecting cards. 32 when I lost them. So 21 years, but who knows for sure
You made some really good deals. The binder had a lot of the cards that I had at one time, especially the Nolan Ryan's. A friend of mine had a Ryan rookie in 1990 and MAN I wanted that card! I never got one but one but I did get a Mantel (1967). I still have it and two really good Koufax cards. Thanks great video!
That’s a great story. I was lucky enough to find a pretty beat up Ryan rookie at a flea market years ago for $50. I was so excited to finally be able to own one. Keep searching and you’ll come across one for a good price. Thanks for watching!

The Piazza card at 11:30, was the holographic picture of him almost blank? I recently opened a 50-card Fairfield box and found a Ruben Rivera from that same subset, and his entire holographic image on the front was as blank as a mirror. 😄

My question is I have a lot of junk wax. I'm collecting 1983, 1985, 2015 and 2019 my kids and grandkids birth years, I want to build my collections by buying boxes and packs. After that what do you think I should do to build the value. I'm a 3rd generation Dodger fan, my grandparents, emigrants from Ireland, built a home in Chavez Ravine in 1908 and I was there every weekend as they built Dodger Stadium. I don't know which way to go?? I like what Boomslang does but if I'm going to go through a box of cards, I have to have albums ready. I'm an Excel girl. I like organization and knowing a set will end at some point. Any suggestions, I recently broke my hip and in recovery, I will recover, it's my second hip. For the next 6 months due to our world and my accident, I need to stay busy, mainly inside during rain and up. Unfortunately the cold weather is upon us but I need to stay active, body and mind. Any one out there feel free to post ideas. Thanks. We have another game on Tuesday, this is my chance to see the Dodgers win! The last time I was busy raising little one's. Hey Peggy, thanks for watching! I’m glad to hear you’re back to collecting. Junk wax is definitely on the rise right now and eventually all the boxes will dry up. From a financial standpoint, sports cards investors would tell you just to sit tight on those and keep buying those wax boxes and packs but leave them sealed. From a fun and nostalgic standpoint, I don’t know if I’d be able to resist the fun of ripping open them all 😄 keep collecting!

Sure it is now but you could have bought almost all of those cards back in the early 90's and still wouldn't have spent 20 bucks.
Griffey is one of the few from that era who is "junk-wax" proof. No such thing as a bad Griffey card in a Mariner uniform.

Justice was my favorite player growing up and it was nice to see some other kid out there thought he was worthy to go in his little binder.
Same, whenever playing homerun derby in the neighborhood i would always call David justice!
