2008 Cls550 left front has 133k on it. Still works 👍 Replaced right front with a cheap strut lasted 10k. Replace in pairs . Arnott makes great Replacement part. My rear is Arnott rides very good. Thanks Ken ❤

I would recommend you get the 2011 S550. It has the updated 7G transmission and the last of the non-turbo V8 engines. Plenty fast enough. Find one with lower mileage and pay the extra. I would avoid the V12.

Man, I miss the old diesel videos. Unfortunately it’s tough to find old diesels that are still viable for restoration, ones in excellent condition are big money.
My '2012 S550 4 matic Struts on Ebay for about $300.00ea. Easy to replace, about 1hr each. ....And yes you will save $3k or more over the MB dealership service dept.
I really like my S320 W220,I have owned it for 8 years.Ride comfort is the thing that most matters to me.Would I gain much if I upgrade to W221?Some people say W220 rides as well as W221.

That’s a really sharp 221 with the facelift and AMG sport package! Definitely my favorite S class.
The best - I agree. It is a very elegant design with more "S" than the newer ones.
Airmatic DC shocks will make a knocking or rattling noise when they degrade , like Kent says “even though they aren’t leaking air”

I'm 1.5 years with Cheap Airmatic parts from eBay....amazing; $600, no issues or quality failures
