Thank you! I can't tell you how many players went "huh?" when I told them to look at the Ramrod to give them an idea of the X1's playstyle. The Ramrod was clearly based on the X1 when it was brought into the game all those years ago, pre update 6.0, pre War Stories
I got to add that the update in question this got added was about 5.0 or 5.2, the second batch of Mercenary vehicles. Besides that and that this had inflated stats to justify the inflated base price tag of 6k gold (and you know half brazil is gonna buy it because, well, brasil mencionado) not much else to add to this.
Well this thing is kind of interesting to me, play World War II to play light tanks cuz Cold War light tanking is pain for me anyway. Always appreciate the videos.
Looks like a nice little tier 7 light tank, gun looks really nice with that pen, i think i would always run optics and camo net , meybe switch around the last bit of equipment to see witch fits me best gun stabs, rammer or traction. If i got it that is. Nice vid as always Mr Petty 🎉😊
WoT Console took the hint and released a Tier VII this time. Maybe they found out that some like myself never play above Tier V to avoid being in the Premium chaos of Tier VIII? Also, it makes me sad that I can't no longer play my beloved AMX Chaffee, because they bumped it to Tier VII from Tier VI, just because they gave it a handful of hit points? The AMX Chaffee was never a Tier VII. Its strength was its view range of 390m at Tier VI. What a shame. Any tank using HEAT as premium ammunition means almost unusable. Most tanks have spaced armor in one way or another. Unless you have extreme accuracy, and a good knowledge of all the adversary tanks, penetrating with HEAT shells is a lotery.
AMX Chaffee got moved to Tier 7 before the HP buff. It got moved there because that was it's Matchmaking anyways. It could see up to Tier 9 (I remember the days of seeing Tier X) so for the MM sake they moved it to Tier 7 to just reflect it's MM.
@@Petty360 I can't remember the details. I know I was in the Testing group at the time, when they did it. Unlike other times, they did not ask our opinion, they simply told us matter of fact. I think the AMX Chaffee is my second most played tank, from the old days. I just loved playing it. In today's battlefield, it is really challenging to not get frustrated. Mostly, the lack of speed for a light tank makes it very vulnerable. I used the AMX Chaffee as my trainer because of its ability to host US and French crews. It needs some speed and horsepower, which he will never get any longer.
@@Petty360 AMX Chaffee: Penetration 144/202/38mm for 135/135/175 alpha. 800 hit points 476m vision range / 273m camo; CCL X1: Penetration 205/250/45mm alpha 240/240/320 850 hit points vision range 499m / 266 m camouflage. Both tanks equipped with the same crew. It iis easy to see the AMX Chaffee has no business in its current field.
I play all tier lights but they increased damage on arties in upper tiers and made it difficult to kill them. I’m tired of being tracked and whacked. They bent the gun on the snake bite and it is inaccurate as crap. This game kinda blows chunks now.
I was on the fence with this tank, but now, i may actually consider it. That 90mm gun on a tier 7 light looks fun. Dont have the ramrod, so this may be a good alternative
Depends, would you spend almost Tier VIII medium gold for a Tier VII light which plays like a medium or else you would grind a not so difficult contract and get it?
@Sammael66685 6,400 really isn't bad for what you're getting, though I guess one could say it's a little pricey for a light tank. It is better than the ramrod and it has silver earn so that's also a consideration
I’ve been playing the Bernardini since it came out Tuesday. I worked its damage % to over 55%. Then this morning I check into the game play one battle and my damage % went down to 32%! In one battle! How can that happen? I even did reasonably well in that battle! Any ideas?
It'll be because it changed to Live Server data for the mark as usually it's set to the highest requirement from the tier/class on day one. So people have been playing it better than what's already out there for Tier 7 lights
I found the gun on this thing to be absolutely infuriating at times. Plus the camo is really, really bad for a light tank and I found that pretty much cannot active scout efficiently because the fairly pedestrian 60 kph top speed is just not good enough.
If the guns fully aimed it's pretty damn good tbh. Like I say you can play it more like a med than an LT. It's actually better than most tier 7 meds in terms of the the gun mixed with mobility

It is always nice to know that you will be very early in reviewing new tanks ^^ This looks like a fun tank to play.
It is pretty fun! Guns very good (basically a medium tbh)

Looks good but its just a better ramrod, and you confirm what i thought
It is indeed, a substantially better version

It's a pretty damn nice tank!
As I always say wait for discounts (which would be a long while) but it can be a fun one
@@gavincaldwell7420 6k for base price means, you should wait for discounts (as also Petty himself says). Is gonna get even pricey by free XP.
Cool vehicle, I’m not buying one but good lord it’s firing APFSDS and that hull looks like it’s off what, an M3Lee?! 😳
Modified M3 Stuart I believe (could be wrong)

The platform is quite tall and unstable itself as in the Ramrod. It asks for fully aimed shots considering my experience in the later.

what's camo are u using, looks great! by the way great video❤
It is the new Star Trek Klingon Tactics Camo which you can buy for gold only.
Yup the Star Trek camo that's just came out the Klingon tactics!
@@Petty360 thaks!
@@x_a_n_t_h_i_u_m OK got it
6.4k damage, That's a steal! I'll take two.
🤣🤣🤣
This tank is garbage for my play style of killing arty and attacking. To slow! But it has a good gun if your a sniping light player.
Please change your garage 😂
Nope!
@@Petty360 You know you'll change it, once we get a Lego themed event 🤨
😂
what a cute ugly tank, right up my street this one
😂
First 🙏🏼
GG!
Tank looks like a turd on paper... lets see how it does here.
Is a 70s modernization on a near pre-wwII tank. Guess you came to the game on the cold war driven new player experience.
Nope, it's pretty damn good, one of the Better tier 7s statistically
