I have built the portfolio over several years. My advice for people brand new to this career path would be to pick a subject and write 2-3 pieces on the subject. This can act as your portfolio as you build up your experience.

Decide what kind of medical writer you want to become and then familiarize yourself with the common types of documents written in that role.

You could but you would need to demonstrate you have an understanding of the scientific concepts that company covers.

Yes you could. AI is a good tool and can help with some of the work of a medical writer, but medical writers do more than write.

Hello. Yes, someone with a Pharmacy degree could become a medical writer.
